222 W Edison Ave, New Castle, PA 16101, United States
Following my hip replacement surgery, I was transferred from Edison Manor and upon my arrival was experiencing intense pain and the staff responded to my concerns and alleviated my discomfort. At the time of admission, I was entirely dependent on others requiring 2 person assist for all tasks. However through my collaboration with the therapy department at Edison Manor, I have received truly exceptional support from the compassionate caring therapy team. Prior to my arrival, I had concerns about my decision to come to Edison, but that therapy department successfully helped me regain my strength enabling me to return home and resume all activities independently. I am deeply grateful for all their assistance and express my sincere appreciation to them.

TERRIBLE place. Incompetent, uncaring, rude, LAZY staff, especially from the top. Baseline workers, some of them, were helpful, caring. But overall, facility is unbelievably inefficient, uncaring, inadequate, etc., etc. I was released there from hospital after surgery. Didn't receive meds for hours , actually days. was getting pain ones every four hours at hospital then to this place and NOTHING. Had no use of arms so couldn't reach, no help...... everything out of reach, urine bottle, liquids, etc. Couldn't even get/retrieve tissues. Had to blow nose and spit into blanket. When pillow fell to floor roommate ad to get for me. They don't answer alert button for hours. I tried calling desk twice only to get hung up on . Worse place I've ever seen for sure. Do NOT send loved ones here! Even TV didn't work told no batteries for remote in entire facility. I offered to pay for batteries if needed! Place is indescribable. Much more to report, this is just an outline. Was supposed to get escort to bathroom to sit on toilet when/as needed. They were so lazy just wanted to give me diaper. I was not prescribed such !!!!!!! This place needs to quit their excuses and close down! Prison facilities are much better than this. I intend to call/contact every agency and politian possible. My grandfather fell and was never taken to the hospital. Then he fell again and still didn't get sent to hospital. Saw him and he was in bad shape he was covered in his own crap and wasn't taken care of. The nurses are rude and could care less about there patients. I wouldn't send your love ones to this places it's filthy and gross
My mom worked here for a few months. All she could talk about was how rude the staff was and how she couldn’t handle the way they treated the patients. Do not send your family members here. This staff does not care. They are mean and fake.
If I Could leave no stars for this facility I would. The day we walked in to this place we knew we immediately had to find a new place for our father. Absolutely and completely filthy, the residential smoking area fills the entire first floor with cigarette smell and smoke. The floors and walls were covered in urine and the beds had piles of sediment. The photos we took are absolutely horrendous. The state our father was in, we could not move him that day without a new facility, so we had to clean the room ourselves. We also reported this to the health department as no one should live here like this. We had to wait over a weekend for a new referral, we rarely left. We did leave later in the evenings and this is when he was then left unattended seated, my father is completely paralyzed on his left side after a sever stroke..and can’t support himself. So he was left in a bedside chair with no supervision and no way to help himself. No way to call for a nurse.. and he fell. He broke his Arm and elbow, he broke 4 ribs severely, and he smashed his face and head into the floor. He was left like that until someone found him. Hours went by that night as he cried for help after being put back in bed. He begged to go to the ER. Finally after we called and talked to him and called the desk we were told and he was then taken to the hospital. My father died 2 weeks ago of a slow brain bleed that never stopped after this fall, he was in severe pain every day trying to recover from their neglect and severe mistreatment. Please if you have another option.. find it. This is they worst facility I have ever seen, experienced, and dealt with. Should be shut down. These photos are the first meeting of this place, bringing him in from Sharon regionals referral. Unacceptable.
