My mother is a resident here and she absolutely hates it here. They’ve stolen things from her unit, such as a glass cake pan, personal food and a nice toaster that was gifted to her. And yet they didn’t offer any light housekeeping duties. They’ve also forgotten to get her medicine from the pharmacy (but blamed the pharmacy for their error.) They have always satin that they welcomed families here but we’ve found out that is NOT the case. They put a nice front but then are bullies to the residents and their families. (Kinda like when Happy Gilmore put his grandma in a home temporarily) My mom is the ONLY POC here and her mental health is deteriorating. They don’t really try to include her in anything and the facility administrator named Elizabeth is a bully and loves to be on power trips. She and her staff have made false accusations by saying my mom was yelling and swearing at them (I know that’s100% false because that’s not part of my mom’s character.) I’ve already made two reports regarding their abuse and neglect to the state of MN and I will continue to report them to proper agencies because elders, no matter their status in life should not be treated like this.
