My 95 year old father was admitted to the skilled nursing unit yesterday. It was very difficult for me to leave him and I was concerned that he would be confused. The staff was wonderful welcoming him and caring for him through the night. I am thankful.

My father has only been there 24 hrs however getting all the care he’s needed. Checking in on him consistently. The first day there yesterday they gave him a nice shave. They caught that he was having a medical issue same day and got him back to the hospital immediately. So far quite impressed with the care and now hopeful that he will become stronger and return home. Started p/t today , no delay in treatment
I met with Nancy Lee, head of Admissions at Edgewood in Portsmouth NH, today to discuss options for my father to find him long term care. I was so impressed with her friendliness, professionalism and thoroughness in answering my questions. I got a sense of her deep caring for the facility, the residents and their families. She gave me a tour of the facility and it looks to be exactly what my father needs. We’ll be applying to be on the waiting list and saying a prayer he can be staying there soon. Thank you Nancy for your time and for giving me comfort in this difficult time for my family. Kristine B.
I love working nite shift with Kelsey. She is quick, kind and thorough. My nite nurse Michelle was very hard working and professional while training a new nurse. The residents were pretty good and adorable in thier own ways. The nurse in the West wing was very patient with me.
The day my Mom was admitted she was welcomed at the entrance and escorted to her room. Within 15 minutes she was seen by a nurse, admitting, OT and PT. She then received her first PT treatment and OT evaluation. The facility had a great first impression.
