My mom is a new resident in the memory care unit. I cannot say enough good things about the staff, from the intake to the daily care. They have been amazing, kind and caring. Deb, the director of the memory care is detailed and compassionate. Kayla, RN has helped navigate medicine refills, appointment and my every little request. LaRae, I hope I have that right.. has been a gem.. with helping me get the endless calls to check on her and making special accommodations happen when I come in town last minute. There are so many wonderful members of this staff. A million thanks for all help and kindness. The day program has also expressed the appreciation and love of this facility. We do value and appreciate you!

There were many wonderful, caring people there. The food service problem were great too. There was one bad apple that was mean to my dad. The director needs to learn done tact and be a bit more caring. Her communication skill are lacking, too
At first everything was GREAT! The staff appeared friendly, everyone was helpful... until a month after move in. With out telling us that it was going to be a permanent change, they moved another person into Grandmas room in memory care. It was a single bedroom apartment. They disguised it as "We have another resident that needs a place ASAP, this should be temporary". Well... It wasn't. They took grandmas brand new queen bed away and gave her an uncomfortable twin. They made us take more of her NEEDED furniture away. One of those recliners that helps you stand up. Since Grandma has dementia all of this was a HUGE change she was very unhappy and she threatened to kill her roommate. So Edgewood staff put her on drugs to make her "happy". The staff yelled at me IN FRONT OF GRANDMA when we went right outside the doors to grab a book from the library. That made her feel even more trapped. She wasn't washed properly. She had built up skin on her forehead that they never tried removing. All it took from me was a warm washcloth on there for a few minuets and some lotion. They never took her outside. They never took her on promised outings to the community. They didn't make her move, so grandma lost the ability to move. And once she lost the ability to move they kicked her out. When we interviewed We specifically asked if they did end of life care. They told us yes. Which was a LIE. I guess at Edgewood Vista end of life means you just die instead of slowly decline until passing. So as you're slowly declining into death they kick you out stressing you out even more. This is a BAD place. I would not suggest it to anyone. They fool you with their pretty building and fancy furniture but the staff sucks, Management sucks, and they treat their residents poorly. If you are considering them RUN, Run away!
My mother-in-law just moved into memory care. Beautiful place, her apartment looks like a smaller version of her home. The staff is wonderful!
Wonderful my friend lives there. Its so clean and very nice place. They chaoel nice rooms where it looks like home. Mary loves it there!
