We are very appreciative of the care our mother received while at Edgehill. After three weeks in the hospital our 94 year old mother was very ill. She was the most challenging patient possible because of her weight and complex medical problems. She could have been easily ignored and left for gone, but the kindness and dedication of the staff was truly outstanding and she was up and on her feet in three days! We were so lucky that Mom was surrounded by a wonderful professional caring team of aides, nurses, therapists and other specialists (in the social work, activities & dietary depts). Each person we met treated our mom with warmth and respect. The staff members always introduced themselves and consistently explained anything they were doing. Everyone listened to her and they always made certain our mom understood what was going on. They took our mom’s health concerns seriously and made certain she was well taken care of. We are especially grateful to the Physical therapy team and their encouragement to get our mother back on her feet. A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Edgehill ! Rita’s family

We are very pleased with the care given to our family members who’ve lived at Edge Hill Nursing Home. It’s a small facility and the number of caretakers to patient is more than adequate. The staff kept us informed regarding the medical status of our family members. All processes were made easy for us. Most of all it was a relief knowing our people were well cared for. I’d recommend EHNH and Rehab to anyone in need of quality medical care. M. Toland
Edgehill, a small 60 bed facility where everyone is treated like family, is where my mother and family felt most comfortable. All beds are on one floor with a central nurses station. If you need short term care you can go to places like Hill at Whitemarsh, Artman, Masonic Village, etc. and medicare or your insurance will pay for 20 days or so and you go home. However if you are border line or need longterm care the above facilities will likely not accept patients/residents who rely solely on medicaid. High end rehabs and nursing homes are not necessarily the best. It comes down to their employees and how much they actually care to do their jobs. Some go through the motions and some will treat your mother like their own. Some facilities everyone is unhappy and complaining all the time and some everyone is happy to be there. If you or your parent require long term care covered by medicaid I strongly recommend Edge Hill Nursing Home. While it is not the Taj Mahal it is a well cared for and maintained facility filled with staff who clearly care for those who live there. I toured the facility on a Monday morning to find residents engaged with therapists of all kinds. Everyone was up and being active. They have an activity room and downstairs is a physical rehab gym. Employees and residents all said hello. The daughter of a resident asked if I was considering the facility for a parent and said how happy she is with Edgehill. Her mother has been there 8 years and she never had an issue. The first time I saw my mother at Edgehill and how she was being cared for I could have hugged someone. It was a big relief as you always want the best for your mother. I knew at Edgehill we had found a home for her. Sadly after blood tests at Edgehill showed problems my mother passed at Abington Hospital. Though my mother was there for less than two weeks they treated her and family as if we had been there for five years. The outpouring of support and as I was picking up my mothers belongings will forever be remembered.
Shout out to Faith, the social worker, for the time and patience she had dealing with questions and concerns about my mother who was there earlier this year. Also kudos to Ms Kelly Longs, RN who is the Director of Nursing. She was very caring and kept us informed.
Throughout the COVID pandemic the staff here have been amazing. Working so hard to keep all safe. I have a dear sister there and they have loved her well and I am sad the director left. I fear it is a blame shifting move by a corporation. But to the individuals there I am grateful. The staff have worked for months to provide care and safety in a time when the public is living through the scientific process. This pandemic is a process and Edgehill has done well. Thank you all.
