Wonderful people, full of humanity, work in this nursing home. Most of them support the Residents with great kindness and kindness while remaining very professional. The Supervisory Teams, for their part, are open to discussion in a constant search for solutions to the problems encountered. As in any collective, or even in any family, it is not always easy but Le Grand Marquisat remains a real home for our elders. All these people: Administrative, Caregivers, ASH, Housekeeper, Animator AND NIGHT STAFF are full of empathy and good will put at the service of our elders and.... their gourmet taste buds thanks to a giant "taste team" who knows how to combine everyday taste and pretty, often pictorial, dishes. THANK YOU EVERYONE 🌞🌞 But this beautiful painting is nevertheless marred by 2 black spots. The first, the recurring use of temporary workers who do not always know how to apply EHPAD protocols, which leads to major omissions in monitoring the directives put in place. The second, a huge black point for me in the person of the Coordinating Doctor who made the decision to ask her nurse to disconnect the IV that was hydrating my dad while providing him with the minimum amount of glucose he needed without taking the trouble to come and speak to the family present at her bedside even though we were in the same building as her and the entire EHPAD was aware of our presence since I stayed at her bedside even at night!!! Of course, relentless therapy was not desirable for my dad and we all agreed with that!! It has since been explained to me that this action corresponded to palliative care recommended by the ambulance doctor called to my dad's bedside A WEEK EARLIER... And that given that he had fallen into a form of coma, this infusion could be perceived as therapeutic relentlessness. But if it was better for him to make the decision to unplug it that day, NO, you don't do that from your office without coming to talk to the family!!! It was extremely VIOLENT for us to see him suddenly disconnected, dead the next day WITHOUT EVER ANY doctor (except the emergency doctor SEVEN DAYS EARLIER and whom I only had on the phone since I live in the Bordeaux region) came to talk to us. Neither her general practitioner on vacation during the end-of-year holidays, nor her replacement who NEVER TRAVELED EITHER, nor this doctor from the nursing home (who therefore replaced the attending physician) came to the bedside of my dad during all his agony to talk to us. The latter therefore made the decision to suddenly apply SAMU directives once again, directives given A WEEK EARLIER from her office. And that is simply inhumane!!! Either she took the place of the family doctor and followed through with her choice by coming to inform us, or she did not take the place of the family doctor and forced the family doctor's replacement to come to her patient's bedside!! In any case, this does not correspond to an isolated behavior of this Doctoress but rather to the recurring attitude of a person convinced that his position as a doctor gives him all power over his patients and that families have no say in the matter. say about his decision-making. This behavior which resulted in the sad and pathetic departure of my dad goes hand in hand with some of his positions which are totally devoid of common sense but nevertheless perfectly tick the boxes of medical-administrative protocols and therefore not controversial due to his position in the hierarchy of the EDENIS GROUP EHPAD. However, for my part, I will try to keep deep in my heart all the human warmth that all the “little hands” of the EHPAD gave me in abundance. A huge THANK YOU girls and great respect for the incredible duo formed by Marion and Odile, 2 absolutely wonderful nurses 🤗🌈
My mother has been staying at the Marquisate for almost 8 years. The staff is caring, knows the residents, their habits and tastes and adapts to them. Families are also well received and the healthcare team is available if you ask to meet them. The caregivers are warm and patient. The buildings are a bit old but renovated little by little. For me, the quality of the staff takes precedence over that of the buildings (even if having both would be even better!). I highly recommend this residence!
My aunt has been a resident for a few months, and we are satisfied with this establishment. The team is pleasant and caring. She shows a lot of attention to the residents. The welcome is warm and we regularly receive news and information regarding the activities and well-being of our loved one, which is very reassuring. The team is also open to suggestions and always available to discuss.
My dad stayed in the establishment for almost 3 years. I can only thank all the staff for their support at the end of his life. My dad was pampered until his last breath and everyone also supported me during this painful ordeal.
