I've worked here for 25 years now. I started in 1999 as a direct care aide. No education at the time. After about 10 year's I wanted to do more. I went to college, graduated, and started interviewing for multiple positions within the company. The job is very rewarding. We serve individuals with intellectual disabilities to provide them a full and rich life. It's a community within a community with over 750 staff providing services from maintenance, housekeeping, dietary, grounds keeping, electricians, aides, nurses, doctors, PT, OT, speech and hearing, equipment operators, and so on. Many many jobs available and all for fair wages, a good retirement and state benefits. Health insurance, vision, dental all included. Some of the individuals we serve can be challenging, but most are not. It's like any job. It is what you make it. If you enjoy caring for others, being part of something much bigger than yourself, and making a difference with the most vulnerable Pennsylvanians then come work for the state!

I worked here for years, and left to pursue other opportunities in 2013. I enjoyed my time working here, and I found that the staff went to great lengths to provide excellent care to the individuals who live there. The buildings were well-furnished and well-kept. The food was better than any hospital that I've worked at. The staff training is extensive and thorough. The nursing teams were professional and knowledgeable. I feel confident that this is a great place for our most vulnerable citizens to be living.
Corrupt. Abuse.Notice fine use of tax money to fix leak from the INSIDE. Pray for the patients. No inside cameras. Bosses give themselves raises, even if blanket fund is empty. Feds pay 90% and need to go in there in Force.
