My mother was sent over to this rehab facility. I would give it zero stars if I could. She was not treated with empathy by the CNA. She was sitting in her urine and feces for a really long time, call bells go unattended by the staff. They just sit around like it’s normal. I disclosed my situation with social worker and patient advocate nothing has been resolved. The place is short staffed, no ambulatory equipment its a disservice for people try to recover from a stroke and are bedridden. Unfortunately I would not recommend.

Everything has been ok , the only problem I have is with one of the aides in remsen. She has blond hair tattoos on her arms and wears glasses. I do not like her attitude towards the patients in your facility She is very sarcastic to them and I do not think her behavior is appropriate. I know it’s not easy taking care of the elderly but at the same time they need to be treated with respect and at least some dignity
After reading review by Nick Larosa , I totally agree with everything that he stated in his post. I would not recommend anyone there to that roach infestation facility. Board of health should close that place down immediately. It’s not safe and unhealthy for the patients to be subjected to be eating the food that has roaches in them. The director of the department probably has no intention to resolve this problem because it would have been done already.Reading other reviews dirty and filthy environment seems to be an ongoing problem.So stay far away!!! The director of this department should be terminated allowing this to be happening over and over again and letting it seem to all like it is the norm. It is disgraceful and shows that they don’t care about the patients in this facility.
My mom has been at East Neck for over a year now. The staff on the Watson unit have been absolutely wonderful! My mom was very sick recently, and the care she received from Dr. Balot, the nurses, and all the excellent CNAs has been terrific. The welcome back from the Watson staff also made us all so happy. I also want to mention the recreation staff for how truly wonderful they are every day — and Pastor Mike as well! Thank you to Abraham in admin for helping have my mom moved back to Watson where she knows everyone and is most comfortable! Thank you!!!! Jennifer Bocca (Anna Armstrong)
Went to visit a friend. Very impressed. Not the fancy entrance like so many others have, but by the cleanliness of the floors, the rooms we saw, nursing stations, day room, all of it was clean and organized. The nurse who helped us on unit 2 went out of her way to accommodate our request. The rest of the staff we passed were all clean, professional looking and friendly. They were "present" for their role in the facility, not just clocked in but "checked out". Very clean. I saw nothing negative at this visit. I was impressed. Thank you all for caring for my friend and all of our loved ones. Keep doing what you're doing. You stand out!
