Good facility as far as checking in and getting to room. Security excellent. Rooms clean, CNA Monica was wonderful. Very sweet, empathetic, encouraging while getting my family member dressed and bathed. Room was very warm so adjusted temperature. Lunch meal was great smelled wonderful. Nursing Manager Terrance very professional and assisted immediately when we needed a new curtain for her bed. Thank you! Only negative was lack of TV which was on maintenance back order and parking was minimal. Otherwise great care and hardworking helpful pleasant positive staff which is the most important to help my family member stay positive about being in rehab facility. Thank you everyone!
Appears to be an excellent facility. My easiest criteria for a nursing facility is if the odor of urine is detected in the lobby. It was not. So this place readily passes the smell test.
From day one the staff are very professional, caring and pleasant. They keep us informed of my mother’s progress. The facility is clean. The food is tasty and hot.
I cannot fully put into words how awful and flat out disappointing this rehab is, but I will try. From not having simple supplies like baby wipes or hand soap, to causing severe injury due to negligence: this place really shows how much of a scam the healthcare system really is. My grandmother was admitted to Dwellside in Cherry hill on 1/25/25, for severe muscle weakness and neurological issues caused by malnourishment. Within ONE DAY , she had a fall. I should’ve taken that as a sign that things were only going to get worse. When she fell, they promised they were going to add a second bed alarm, padding on the floor, and get her a chair with an alarm: Literally NONE of that was done for days, and finally after 3 days I asked about the padding, and they finally put it on just one side of her bed. The 5th day, we came in the room to find her left unattended in a wheelchair with NO chair alarm, in which she could’ve fallen out at any time. The staff management have consistently not met her needs in regards to fall prevention or hydration requirements, among a lot of other things. My grandmother is unable to grip things properly due to her neurological issues, and there was no plan in place by staff to make sure she was getting enough water, or even able to drink water at all. They consistently did not bring water to her (or any of the other patients!), and when they did, it was always out of reach, and no one monitored her drinking, which was a huge problem because she just had a UTI 2 weeks prior to being admitted and was at risk for another. We finally had a “Care Meeting” 5 days after she was admitted, in which they promised a hydration plan, a room change to be closer to the nurses station for safety, and giving her a new call button she could actually use. Literally NONE of these promises were followed out the next day, and no one would provide me with documents for anything, including her falls. The second fall was while she was supposed to be moved from the bed to the chair, in which the nurse turned her back while my grandmother was on the side of the bed, and she fell forward on the ground, injuring her face and shoulder. This was after multiple meetings in which her fall risk was discussed, and false promises of fall precautions were stated, yet not carried out. Additionally, she was not showered the whole time she was there, and from not being properly cleaned and being FORCED to wear a diaper despite my warnings to staff that it wasn’t healthy for her, she developed a vaginal infection. I have filed a complaint with the NJOmbudsman and the NJ Department of Health, and I hope this negligence gets investigated and the staff management learns to take patient’s health and risk profile seriously.
