At first impressions this facility is very nice. Over 6 months, things become more clear. Staffing is somewhat of a problem with patients in need having to wait too long for services. Some staff needs more training in how to treat and talk to older people. Family members must keep track of their loved ones because communications are not great. Watch carefully what labs are done (the facility will not call you) and where they are sent. If the resident is unable to understand, the family might not know they will use out of network labs and coding can come back "experimental, not scientific."

The leadership there take great pains to be responsive and sensitive to the needs both of the residents as well as their families. I had the pleasure of visiting Dunlop House a few weeks ago and I have to say what a beautiful and clean facility, we took a full tour and had lunch, the food was amazing! and the staff are so kind and loving to the residents, there were several activities going on in different rooms and in the lobby some of the residents were socializing, something I have never seen in a AL Home before, everyone seemed so relaxed and happy, so refreshing from the other places we have seen
The activities for Dunlop residents are amazing! The Dunlop staff seems to always be hosting some sort of recreation or entertainment. This fun, friendly environment gives the residents something to look forward to and many opportunities to make friends and socialize.
