My mum and Aunty lived at Dorothy Impey Home during the Covid years. When I think back to their time there I remember the happy times. I particulaly remember how caring and professional the staff were, at all times but particularly when times got difficult dealing with complex health issues. The staff were like family (shout out to Darren and the nurses who cared for mum! ) go above and beyond to make each resident feel special and supported.They are a wonderful facility , they take pride in what they do and they manage well during difficult times. We are very lucky to have them. It's been a few years now but when i think back I am so grateful that i have lots of nice memories of mum and Aunty in their final year together.

A lovely home for those you love. My father-in-law is being looked after by this great home. He is given excellent care, meals three times a day with tea and coffee provided in between. It’s easy to drop in and pick up Pa for a trip out anytime, just make sure he is signed out and back in again upon return. Visiting time is very flexible also. Bingo is always a favourite of the residents and many additional activities are arranged.
I thoroughly recommend Dorothy Impey Home. You won't find lovelier, or more caring people anywhere. They made us so very welcome. Our entire family loved it. My husband had a beautiful window where he could sit and watch the world go by, including small jets approaching Essendon airport. It was a large comfortable room with modern bathroom. The entire home is modern but has a truly homely and personal touch. Beautiful well kept gardens with chickens and budgerigars. Many living/sitting rooms which we used for a private birthday party. Unfortunately extreme ill health prevented my husband from living there for a long time. Medically the staff were professional and certainly knew how to act in a crisis. They treated everyone with compassion and respect. The meals are excellent. I have to mention the wonderful Darren. You want it, he gets it. An amazingly helpful, happy and accommodating man. I have had 3 relatives in other homes & none of those come anywhere near the high standards of Dorothy Impey. A very happy place which I 100% recommend.
After meeting Heather Gray and subsequently meeting with Jacques ,Darren and Mika I was immediately impressed by the purity of intention/community spirit of Dorothy Impey Home. My mother was very well cared for and they actively encouraged her to engage in activities rather than just sitting in her room by herself. I completely trusted Dorothy Impey Home and my trust was well placed. The staff treated my mother as though she was a family member. They went above and beyond, were completely transparent and were so thoughtful from start to end.
Nan has been under the care of staff for almost 10 years. They do an amazing job and always go above the call of duty. Because of the high level of care, Nan has been extremely well looked after and is in better shape than she should be. Thank you so much Dorothy Impey ❤️
