RUN!!!! Do not place a family member here, you will regret it. This facility has changed hands 3x and the reasons are evident. No one cleaned my dad's room before he moved in, we had to move furniture out in order to move him in. He lasted one week under their care and it cost $8600 for that one week, outrageous!!! The care provided is sub par at best. Had to remind staff every 2 hours to give my dad his meds. If you don't plan on being there 24/7 don't place anyone here. We regret this decision for sure. The director, Lynn will tell you a lot of lies and never follow through so again stay far far away. Edit to add, if you notice the owner never addressed any concerns mentioned but instead only tried to deflect. We were assured during the admission process that we would receive a refund (another lie) if something unexpected happened, which it did and so far one month later only crickets!! Also my father wasn't admitted after hours (another lie). So you decide.

I have visited Serene Gardens with my husband, a singer, who was performing for residents and their families. The secure facility is spacious, welcoming and pristine. The staff is attentive, accommodating, warm and welcoming. Kelly is caring, knowledgeable and committed to excellence, modeling the work ethic that she expects of her staff. I trust her completely and highly recommend Serene Gardens for quality care.
I do not have a family member at Addington Place nor do I have a friend there. I have known people who have had family members there and recommended that my mother-in-law and mother both go there when we needed a facility. Unfortunately, we could not afford private pay and had to go elsewhere. I more recently have first hand knowledge of the staff and some residents. I know that staff worked diligently through the days with no power to make sure residents were as comfortable as possible and that meals were provided timely. The salaried employees worked multiple hours late into the nights to maintain as much normalcy as possible for the residents. Other employees volunteered to stay late, come in early or work doubles so that the residents received the best care possible under the circumstances. I have met several staff members and seen interaction with staff and residents. I would not hesitate to place a loved one in this facility and would feel confident they would receive wonderful care.
Quiet rural area close to Dewitt and my fathers friends. Melissa was extremely helpful in leading me through the admission process and was always available when I had questions. The rest of the staff is equally as helpful and caring. My dad has met several friends and loves the food. He recently returned from a short hospital stay and was welcomed home with balloons in his room. Great, caring place for aging seniors in need of care.
My first experience with Addington Place was a call back from Melissa Smith. Your first contact sets the tone for your experience with the business. Melissa was so warm and knowledgeable and helped me every step of the way even though I wasn’t able to have my loved one there. I would recommend Addington Place to my friends and family based on my experience with her. Thank you Melissa, for your kindness and vast knowledge that you shared with me. You are a wonderful asset.
