My mom is currently at Diversicare and we are having a wonderful experience thus far! The CNAs, LPNs, therapy staff, doctor, activity director, and administrative staff we've met have just been great! Everyone is so friendly and above-and-beyond helpful to ensure my mom has all she needs to feel safe and secure while she's here for rehab. The only reason we didn't give them five stars is because they do seem to be a bit under-staffed. However, the staff make us aware of that and do their best to answer call buttons as fast as they can. Oh, and the facility is very clean. Thank you, Diversicare!

From the very first step through their doors, I knew I was in the right place for my husband's caregiver after leaving the hospital. Immediately I was greeted with smiles and a very welcoming atmosphere. My instincts were proven very right after my husband was admitted. They doted over him, making sure he had everything he needed and wanted. The staff immediately put me at ease and I felt like I had known them all my life. Especially Dianna, Beverly and Owen. Dianna met with me during my initial interview with her while investigating to find the perfect place for my husband Steve's recovery after surgery and a 3 week stay in the hospital. Beverly is the receptionist and her welcoming relaxed attitude soothed all my concerns. She was immediately on the job, finding solutions to all my questions and Steve's needs. There was no delay or putting me off or referring me to someone else. She jumped on the phone and tracked down the very person I needed right then to fill our needs. Owen was a therapist who treated Steve as if he was the only patient in the facility, cheering him on as he worked his way through recovery and physical therapy to regain his strength after being in bed for so long. He was professional but friendly and just clicked with my husband and myself. We felt so comfortable in the family atmosphere that Steve's recovery was much faster than originally thought. Another amazing person was Mari Terrell. Who was in charge of discharge programs. She was immediately available for all my questions and moved mountains to be sure that we were taken care of. If you are looking for the perfect place for the best care in the state of Tennessee, I highly recommend Diversicare of Oak Ridge. I will forever be grateful to them for their excellent care and honest, genuine concern for all the needs my husband had while in their care. Thank you. DIVERSICARE OF OAK RIDGE!!
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE place, partially (A BIG PART) responsible for the death of my mom. Was very uneducated, no sympathy, empathy, lack of manners, smelt like a liter box. Didn’t have any care towards patients. My mom was transferred here from hospital had to wait over a week for a shower, was RUDE and rough with her, I told them multiple times about the multiple breaks in her spine and they acted clueless about it, I asked them to see her paperwork and it clearly stated multiple breaks in her spine. She was septic and they missed multiple doses of her antibiotics. I came and visited daily and called all throughout day when I wasn’t there, asked multiple times to check her breathing and asked for bloodwork and x rays, as the discharge doctor reported for it to be done!!! When I showed up the evening I called they messed in computer when I asked what results were then laughed and said “oh yeah we never got to that today, hopefully tomorrow, the doctor never came that orders that stuff but we did move her room closer to us because you can hear her breathing” I went into her room and she was slumped over barely breathing, shaking, sweating and couldn’t talk, I freaked out called an ambulance and had her transported, the ER doc said if she wouldn’t have came when she did she would’ve died because they didn’t even have her oxygen on the right level!!! Infection had got worse, discover a brain bleed and where they was SO rough with her her breaks in her spine got worse and she became paralyzed! A few weeks later she passed away. This place and the people who work there are pitiful. They are responsible for many deaths! Please be aware. I have reported them to the state also!
Only reason I gave them 2 stars is because there are a few staff member's there that do care for the residents. My mother has been there 7yrs now and I have watched the quality of care go from good to terrible. All of the prior staff that had been there for years and the resident's where comfortable with have all been replaced. This has caused a major disruption. My mother has been hospitalized several times now because of the deglect of this new staff change and lower quality of care and compassion for the resident's. Family members keep watch over your loved ones.
Caring and kind staff that truly strive to provide exceptional care. Positive atmosphere. Great experience! 10/10 recommend!
