I went to check this place out for my mother. Anyone who has commented positively is definitely in the wrong. The pure stench of the pace as I walked in was unable to mask. It looks so sad and depressing I don’t see how anyone who actually visited would allow anyone to stay there. There are alternatives. If you are sending a loved one or anyone you should definitely visit first!

Short staffed. My mom has bed sores. And on my mom death bed the nurse was supposed to come change her bandage and put cream on her wound. The nurse stated she was busy. And I had to get another nurse to do her job. And my mom was constantly moved. And I was lied to about them moving her. The staff had a meeting the day before about moving her. Something has to be done about this Nursing Home.😡
My dad was admitted here after a series of strokes for therapy. He was only here 3 days in the time he was here I observed they are very understaffed. Patients were left unattended a majority of the time. The place smelled horrible. My dad had lost all function and he ended up on the floor many times. The place was really dirty and could use fresh paint in the rooms. I never knew what room my dad was in cause they moved him continuously. I got phone calls in the middle of the night for them to “tell on dad” it was a nightmare. My dad was going through a lot and they kicked him out after 3 days. My dad is now in a nursing home in Memphis and it’s so nice. He has been diagnosed with dementia and sundowners. They take excellent care of him. So the problems they were experiencing with my dad could have been solved if they did their job properly but because he had too many issues at night they kicked him out. When he fell continuously because he was experiencing signs of dementia and sundowners and lost his independence they blamed it on him trying to off himself. Do better diverscare pay attention to your patients

Diversicare is a GREAT facility that I would recommend to anyone seeking a place to have their love ones taking care of. Making sure the family is informed about everything that is happening there and feel comfortable knowing that their family members are well taken care of.
