I am writing to formally report serious concerns regarding the care and management practices at Diamond, where I have worked and witnessed multiple instances of resident neglect and administrative negligence. During my time at the facility, I observed that residents were often left soaked in their own urine for hours without appropriate care or response. Staff failed to report these serious matters, and efforts to raise concerns were often dismissed or ignored. Additionally, facility administration was frequently unavailable, and when present, did not take appropriate action when issues were brought to their attention. These conditions are not only unacceptable but also raise serious ethical and legal concerns. Families entrust their loved ones to this facility expecting compassionate and competent care, but what I witnessed was far from that standard…..

Rosa and her team provided my dad exceptional care. Rosa was amazing and personally checked in on my dad regularly and provided comfort and support to our family.
Update: it is now 7 months since Dad moved in and we are still having a great experience. Thank you all! My dad moved into Diamond as an ALF resident a month ago today. He was in a different Assisted Living prior to Diamond as a result of left side paralysis after his stroke. He had almost nothing good to say about his prior living arrangements; however, I don't think I've heard him say one negative thing about Diamond yet. When he had to go to the hospital for a medical emergency, the staff were waiting to welcome him when I brought him back. I'm amazed at how helpful they have been. Diamond has a wide range of visiting specialists which makes it convenient for your loved one to get the medical care they need. The receptionist Derek actually returns voicemails (unlike prior establishments I've worked with), and the maintenance technician Chris went out of his way to help me with Dad's TV and other things. This facility is smaller (fewer residents) than where Dad was before and I think that helps. Somehow they actually coax Dad out of his room to participate in activities which, knowing my Dad's personality, is an accomplishment. I know Dad has only been there a month and it's hard to draw conclusions quickly; but given we have experience to compare to, I'm optimistic and hopeful that this continues to be a great home for Dad. Thank you Sandy, Chris, Chris, Veronica, Bree, Charlene, Derek, Jessica, Marty, and the rest of the team!
Applied for a job up here and went back and fourth with the director Joyce for a week about a position when I was asked to come in and fill an app out and see her! So I did was super excited and Joyce was kind as well. we talked and then she proceeded to call the hiring manager robin in whom got me set up with orientation a couple days later, as they claimed they were in need of overnight caregivers. The day before orientation they had the RECEPTIONIST contact me and inform me that the hiring manager didn’t want to proceed based on a issue with one or my references (keep in mind they had given me back my application) therefore didn’t have any of the info I put on the app ! When I tried to cal back and ask what was going on I got hung up on by the receptionist twice until they had someone else answer avoiding the phone. After that I asked to speak with the hiring manager robin they claimed she was in a meeting which is fine I asked for a call back from either her or the director Joyce and was advised when one was free they would contact me… I still had Joyce’s cell number and tried to contact that and she informed me that she would be having the hiring manager robin contact me and here it is the next evening and still nothing ! The director Joyce claimed that it was unprofessional for the receptionist to contact me with that information ! DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO APPLY HERE they like to sell you dreams and crush them with no explanation just avoid you like your some kind of disease ! It’s really sad the administration is two faced hopefully the residents are taken care of with the million lawsuits they have against them right now.
My husband has been there since March. Prior to that he was in a facility where no one cared and were obviously not trained on dementia care. While no facility is perfect, I have no complaints with Diamond.
