My wife was a patient at Dayspring Skilled Nursing Facility for 12 days to recover from a virus she caught while having her broken right elbow x-rayed, examined and splinted in preparation for surgical reconstruction. Full disclosure, I am typing this for her as she is unable to use her right hand while in a cast. Due to mobility, balance, medication and personal hygiene issues from previous spinal cord injuries, she is a fall risk and requires special assistance in dealing with these issues. The staff was outstanding in helping her and she wanted to give a special shout out to Joy, Nichole, Sherri and Taylor for their over the top care and assistance they provided. In addition, Kara and her team provided excellent physical and operational therapies to keep her prepared for her elbow reconstruction two days after her discharge. We both want to sincerely thank everyone for the superior care and compassion provided to my wife during her stay.
As I reflect on my mother, Connie Lou Corbean, passing one year ago today, I am still confused. Confused on how a nursing facility, Dayspring of Miami Valley located at 8001 Dayton Springfield Road, Fairborn, Ohio 45324, dropped my mother on her head twice. Once on day 1 & once on day 2. No explanation was given how my mother injury occured. I consider Daysprings of Miami Valley responsible towards my mother death by 60% or more. Yes, my mother had medical issues & the doctors put her in the care of nursing home facility for rehabilitation for her recovery after days in hospital. I have family & friends who have told me the horror stories of how the family members that were put in nursing homes that were abuse, malnutrition, unbathed & dehydrated. I have no respect for any nursing homes. If I was told by a doctor that they want me in a nursing home to recover from a medical issue, I would rather commit suicide than go to a nursing home to care for me. Had to give a star rating just to post. The reality is the should be ashamed.
By far one of the best healthcare facilities in the area ranging from care to quality of the rehab provided, amenities, and the list goes on. As a hospice worker in the area, our teams have collaborated among a plethora of facilities and I recommend an Carespring building every single time hands down and this ranges across the entire Dayton to Cincinnati area. If you are in need of a quality healthcare facility, I would look no further! I have placed my own family here and would again without a blink of an eye if there was the need. Aryn Wickline, Regional Admissions/Marketing is amazing along with her team if you are in need of assistance with a tour or info.
The Staff at Dayspring are very friendly and a pleasure to work with. They treat the residents as one of their own loved ones. I would highly reccommend the facility.
