My 96-year-old mother has been at Danbury Woods for about 8 months now. I truly appreciate the consistency of the staff, and the gentle care that Mom receives from them. The nurses are helpful, and willing to discuss any issues. And, most importantly, the staff is always available, and actively caring for each patient - NOT just sitting in an office somewhere as I have seen in other facilities. Morgan, the current administrator there, is the reason that I made the choice to have Mom at Danbury full time. She has been so loving, and attentive to our every need. Even the grandkids really love coming to see grandma at Danbury. We have frequent tea parties there! What a blessing to have Danbury Woods as a part of my family!

I like the staff and the activities. I have lived here 9 years and have made many friends. I feel safe and comfortable. The staff is very caring and kind.
Rude front desk staff. A resident who is not capable of living there as an independent has an extremely filthy apartment with feces and urine filled depends and pads lying all around floor and furniture. Refrigerator full of spoiled food. Garbage everywhere.. If they become infested with mice and cockroaches, they are partially responsible. This resident repeatedly falls and has to be taken to the hospital by EMS. Should be checking on some of the people who pay a high price to live there.
The food is not good. I have to get takeout from area restaurants a lot of days. Today it is the first cold night of this year and there is no heat. Most residents I talk to have space heaters. Which is not allowed. The staff here is great. All are very friendly and accommodating. But I would advise people not to move here. I’m certainly moving out ASAP.
I am so grateful to Danbury Woods staff for the warm and loving care given my father. The nursing staff is outstanding. They have gone above and beyond in monitoring my father’s medication. My father’s blood sugar is checked 2 to 3 times a day. His diabetes is now under control. He looks and feels the best he has felt in some time. The kitchen staff is friendly and the food is excellent. We are notified immediately if my father shows any change in his health. I am really impressed with the attention given my dad. His room is well maintained. There are diverse daily activities that my father enjoys. He loves his Danbury Woods home. I give Danbury Woods a 5 star rating.
