My mother in law needed to be transferred from this inept facility. There was emotional abuse (many instances) and care neglect from not one but 2 falls with fracture. The state is well aware of this place. Hopefully there were fines and holds on admissions. The DON and admin are crafty at manipulating, skirting the truth, etc. They need to be held accountable! Beware!

My mother was a resident here. The first 6 months seemed ok, and mom settling in. Then it all started to change. One incident after another, and another. The admin leadership team conduct their little investigations and miraculously they are never at fault! So they say! In the past year my 88 yr old mother has had 2 slip and fall accidents resulting in a broken ankle, and then almost exactly 1year later she has a broken leg. In both cases, they neglect to contact myself (son and designated healthcare advocate) in a timely manner. The first incident took 3-4 days and I found out from my mother, not the staff! The most recent incident it was more than 24 hrs before I was made aware, again hearing it from mom. The nursing staff in both incidents truly tried to convince me that these injuries were nothing serious, “she’s just bruised”! I had to demand mother be taken to the emergency hospital to be treated properly, X-ray and seen by a doctor! In both cases mother had a broken ankle and then a broken fibula. The staff at Crowne health mobile had failed to provide proper quality care, instead they were neglectful and instilled emotional distress and mental anguish! These problems start at the top of admin, director nursing and on down the line! I will say there is one social worker, maybe 2 who truly care and do their best even if their hands a tied behind their backs with admin!
I recently checked my mother into Crowne because she needed skilled nursing care and could no longer live by herself. I know how much she wanted to avoid this after having seen others transition to nursing homes. To say we were extremely apprehensive is a gross understatement. However in the days I helped her acclimate, I was amazed at how caring and responsive the staff are, how much attention they give their patients, and how much they work to make them comfortable and provide an environment filled with activities and socialization. They were also very responsive to my questions and concerns, providing me info to make decisions about her care. It is still not what we wish for her but I definitely feel that we have her in the best facility and with remarkable staff. That is very comforting for family who do not live close.
My mother arrived at Crowne unable to sit up on her own after a major surgery. After 2 weeks of rehabilitation, she was able to sit up, walk and care for herself again. The staff was caring, encouraging, friendly and always welcoming. The facility was always clean and mother never complained of the food. Office staff is very informative.
My mother went in walking and independent a year later she was bed written had bed soars and was givin strong psychotic med, my mom passed away there. After her passing I wanted to talk with person in patient account my sister and I were not allowed to go to the office and talk the patient account person cam into the lobby were every person could here everything personal and information about my deceased mother she had no respect for me are my sister are my deceased mother also she did not care that a person that was filling out an application was sitting right next to us and she was giving out all my mother's personal information while this unknown person was hearing everything that said a total unconcerned disrespected my mother and my sister and I but one day her day will come and she will go through everything that my mother went through I was keeping my calmness together. What she was saying in front of strangers and against OSHA laws and very very uncaring and I do feel that she didn't she was dishonest we were told one thing about my mother's finances I am more than sure that she was not being honest.
