I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cross Timber Rehabilitation and Health Care Center and was thoroughly impressed by the level of care and dedication exhibited by the staff. The facility is clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment for residents. The staff members are compassionate and attentive, ensuring that each resident's needs are met with professionalism and kindness. I was particularly moved by the personalized attention given to residents, making them feel valued and cared for. The range of activities and amenities offered contributes to a vibrant community atmosphere. Overall, Cross Timbers stands out as a top-notch facility that truly prioritizes the well-being of its residents. I want to give a shout out to Angelique Watkins, Life Enrichment Director, she welcomed me in as a hospice marketer, with Dallas Hospice and Palliative Care, and has been great with including me in activities. She is loved by the residents, that is very clear to see. Angelique keeps the sweet residents super busy and active, and they love it.

Cross Timbers has done a phenomenal job in taking care of my mother! My mother has been treated with respect and kindness during her time at the facility. All the staff has been amazing since the very beginning. Wanda and Bill have been great in helping me navigate the rehabilitation process. They have gone above and beyond our expectations. The activities coordinators have created a lively mood where the residents and their families can enjoy themselves. All in all, Cross Timbers has done a great job in support of my mom and family.
Wanda with crosstimbers is so awesome and listens to her families offers services that they need when they are moving their family members in. Bill is amazing at his outreach with all service providers The whole staff with crosstimbers is amazing in their care and commitment to each family that lives with them.
I'm sure they will bury this review with a bunch of shill reviews from staff and friends, but here goes.. This place puts on a good act at the beginning. My mother was recommended and accepted her we live close and she doesn't like to be alone so we we we're glad and took shifts so she would not be alone. I spent at least 10 hours a day here with her for a month so I got to know the truth of this place. Patients are double stacked in small rooms. Beds are old and outdated. Furnishings look thrifted. They use an old school call light system. No speaker on the call button. Which seems extremely unsafe because most are bed bound and need assistance. Aides come when they feel like it clean when they feel like, rooms dirty. My mother and roommates needed medicine at specific times and it always came late. They do what is convenient for themselves. Also I saw boxes of new furnishings stored in the front, but sadly it for the staff and not the residents. I heard Aides mock, mimick, and laugh at a patient with dementia. When everyone was getting the flu, the Aide was giving the roommate medicine and told her " hurry up and take your medicine, y'all sick and I don't want to be in here longer than I have to" How rude. Another Aide used my mom's personal products without permission.The food is prison style. Disgusting. We made the decision to take my mom home on hospice because this place was stressful, lots of negative energy, noise, and unreliable to give her pain meds. Hospice would be ready to transfer her home in a mere two days. All of a sudden Drew, the Male nurse, and other Female staff member bullied us. They said she dislocated her recently operated on hip. That the Dallas hospital wanted her back. We said No, in 2 days the hospice is coming. Drew told us to make a decision fast because they were transfer at 4 pm if wetook tooo long to decide they won't be here until 10 pm. We said no, they kept insisting sheneededs to go bac. Dallasset upp everythin, and they were ready for her return. It was strange they wanted her gone fast. We were forced to comply, we did what they wanted. Sad thing Drew lied. They came in the middle of the night to take her, she didn't have a bed when going to the Dallas. They dumped her at the ER. All alone , terrified. She had a horrific pressure ulcer , looked like someone scooped her tailbone area with an ice cream scooper. None of them mentioned that issue. The staff at Dallas didn't understand why the rehab sent her back, and we were right to have hospice .It was unnecessary to put here thru this situation. I'm in such agony for putting her thru this in her last weeks, trusting this rehab because it had good reviews. Most people at this rehab are bed bound like my mother was. Patients falling out of bed because they need assistance to use the bathroom and no one comes to help. I'm disgusting looking at the social media of this place. Exploiting the few that can be active, being self congratulatory celebrating themselves. Telling staff and family members to write fake positive reviews to flood down the truth tellers. The patients that can recover have the incentive because this place is so horrible. To work hard to recover so they don't have to stay in this horrific place longer than they have to. The only postive was the 2 hard-working female head nurses my mother had, they were the only ones that showed compassion. I never want to talk to anyone from here again.
I truly appreciate everything the staff has done to help my great aunt adjust. She loves the activities and outings and all of the staff are kind and supportive.
