Great access to healthcare providers which is important in a 55+ community. Condo board has recently made many improvements to Clubhouse and have worked hard to provide owners with a variety of conveniences: free gym, library, free first aid and technology classes, free bus services, etc. Active Residents Club organizes dances, parties, bingo, flea market, movie and game nights & group trips. Office staff is professional and pleasant. If you are aware that living in a condo association requires abiding by the rules and are not constantly in arrears this may be the place for you.

When my parents retired here 27 years ago!!Great place to settle & enjoy retirement life!!!everything was included in the HOA FEES!!NOW YOU GOT A WHOLE BUNCH OF DISRESPECTFUL PEOPLE RUNNING THE VILLAGE!!IF YOU WANT ANYTHING DONE ABOUT IT JUST CALL OR WRITE A LETTER TO YOUR COUNTY AND REPORT THE ALLEGATIONS!!ALSO ALOT OF PEOPLE DONT KNOW CAUSE THEY WONT TELL YOU!!YOUR ALLOWED TO CONTACT THE ATTORNEY THAT WAS HIRED FOR THE VILLAGE!!ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK FOR HIS PHONE NUMBER AND GIVE HIM A CALL!!OUR MAINTENANCE PAYS FOR THE ATTORNEY HE WORKS FOR THE HOMEOWNERS!!
Awful . The HOA, especially a few of the billing people are a bunch of power hungry, nasty , heartless people. They make up fines, late payments, bogus charges and think nothing of it. The community itself is decent, but if you’re going 55 and over, run far away from this place. Heard the same thing from most of my neighbors-look somewhere else where you’re treated like a human being.
Look somewhere else if you’re active. There’s nothing active about this place unless you consider bingo being active. The neighbor are always looking at what you’re doing, and if they don’t like it or don’t understand because they come from a different culture, they will complain about you. You can’t be active and God forbid you want to do something to make your house look nice. Forget it you have to ask permission for everything. One day I told them that I was paying the mortgage and the taxes and the answer was. “I don’t care”. And I don’t think this is a safe place at all. You will only see the police when someone calls for an ambulance otherwise you don’t see them. Yeah yeah people that just move here love the deer and the turkeys until they start eating everything in sight. Talk to people before buying here unless all you want to do is seat by the window and look outside at the cars going by.
The only reason I purchased this house is because I take care of my mother and she wanted to be close to family. As an owner the association acts like dictators. I recently bought my house and tried to make my mothers life a little more comfortable by installing air conditioning and heat. Apparently there are certain bylaws that restrict you from making improvements without the approval of the board. I was not aware nor given any paperwork telling me that. After the work was completed it was then I was given a FINE by the association at $10.00 a day totaling $340.00. They waited till the job was over so the FINE could amount to a large amount. I tried to with a letter to the board explaining I’m new to the area and wasn’t aware of their policy. Basically it’s a game with them. They look to hit you up with FINES as often as possible. Since then I have submitted work order’s for a broken hand rail and gutter. Both were denied because I haven’t paid there FINE yet. They told me that I should fix it myself because they don’t have the proper crew to do that kind of work and until I pay the FINE nothing will be fixed. I though this was a community of elderly folks looking to live out the rest of their lives in some comfort however it’s not like that at all. I can see community bylaws for destroying property and upkeep but not for improvements. The people that run this place are not compassionate and really don’t care about the people who live there. All I can say is don’t make any mistakes when trying to improve your home or life. YOU Will PAY DEARLY. Before you think of moving in or purchasing a home here check with the local town authorities apparently the reputation of this place is suspect.
