If I could rate this place a ZERO I would. The nurses are great, but the Human Resources lady (Caressa) and whatever Debra is (I think she’s an administrator) make me not ever want to step foot into that place again. I could go on for hours, but the human resources lady has a NASTY attitude and acts like she doesn’t like her job, and Debra is a whole different story. The building needs to be shut down. It is ridiculous that I experienced what I experienced.
The building has a really cool layout. I went to look at Memory care for my grandma and was very happy with the setup of the apartments. It was not like all the other places we went to that were just studios. These apartments were true apartments with distinguished areas. OH! the closet are HUGE.
If you aren’t familiar with Hattiesburg, Crescent Landing is located directly behind Merit Health Wesley hospital. I feel good knowing emergency medical assistance would be virtually next door to my loved one. The community itself feels like a home not a clinical setting. They are also located near the mall, Walmart, and tons of places for fun outings to shop or eat.
I wouldn't recommend this Memory Care Unit to anyone. A couple of the aides were very rude & got mad at me for asking simple questions. Visiting was difficult because the doorbell to the Memory Unit rarely worked & no one would answer the door. Then when someone from the Assisted Living side would let me in, I was questioned "how did you get in or did someone give you the code". A new memory care supervisor is needed who will quit making excuses for unprofessional behavior & will initiate clear & consistent rules. The business office manager needs to quit spreading gossip & being argumentative.👄This unit IS NOT family friendly.There's nothing in writing about visiting hours for the M.C. unit. The aides make up their own rules on their shift so there's no consistency. 🤪The building needs a lot of repairs & the ac never worked.
