Outstanding independent senior retirement facility and community. I stayed a week here while visiting a relative and left very impressed. All the amenities (and then some) of a sparkling clean 5 star hotel plus, helpful staff and friendly residents. I stayed in one of their studio apartment guest rooms and was abundantly satisfied. My relative has a 1 bedroom unit that has a great layout with lots of closets and a private terrace. There's a Bistro and a full blown restaurant. We ate in the bistro each morning and were always satisfied. There's also tons of activities. There's simply no excuse to feel bored or lonely. The location, a few steps from a walking path, nature center and shopping is extremely convenient. This is independent senior living at its finest.

In all fairness to Covenant GV, I should not have been released to their transitional care faculty last night, or any night. This should have happened well before midday, but Methodist didn’t get word until after 3 pm of authorization, yet still rammed the process to get me out of the hospital to here. There was misstep, miscommunication, and confusion. However, everyone has been jumping through hoops to get things corrected and organized. They are very cautious with their guests and patients, and willing to listen and try. Can’t ask for more than that. They’re trying the best to get my recovery back on track and that’s much appreciated. All their teams are being communicative and working as a team to get me home.
I was at Covenant from February 23-March 15, 2024 after a three month hospital stay. When I arrived, I needed help with almost everything. Little by little I started to be able to move on my own. I thank the physical therapy department for my rapid progress. Those women know how to push you enough, without over doing it, to help you reach your goals. They are upbeat and motivating. I was lucky to have my husband as my an advocate for my needs. Being alone in my situation would have been very frustrating. My experiences in the hospital and Covenant taught me that your care will depend on the nursing staff and yourself. Some of the nursing staff are better than others as far as the nursing activities they provide and their treatment of their patients. The call light was completely ineffective, as it was often unnoticed for as long as an hour. Luckily, I was never in the dire situation that I have read in other reviews. The food is surprisingly good and the menu choices always had something that was appealing. I read lots of reviews for Covenant and am surprised by the responses from Covenant to reach out to someone by email. You guys should be reaching out to them and looking into the horrible situation that some patients had to endure. It is hard enough to have to be in a rehab facility, so it is obvious that the staff should be focused on making patients as comfortable as possible. Thank you Denise, Florence, Grace and Burnley and to the entire PT staff. Those awesome staff members made my three weeks at Covenant bearable.
My parents are new residents at Covenant Living in assisted living. After over a year of searching and touring many places in the Twin Cities, we all knew immediately this was the right place for them. Making the decision to move from their home of 50 years was not easy, but everyone (especially Willie) at Covenant have been so friendly and so helpful, they've made it a breeze. We're all so happy our parents are happy there, and we love to hear about the people they are meeting and the new adventures ahead of them.
My wife Linda and I have lived at Covenant Living of Golden Valley for nearly two years now. We are very happy that we made this decision! We enjoy the friendship of the many people we have gotten to know here, as well the many amenities that are part of the Covenant Living experience - the swimming pool, the well-equipped workshop, and the fitness center are especially appreciated. Not least in the many factors that helped us make the decision to move to Covenant Living was the life-long care provision, which means we will never have to burden our children with the need to find a higher level of health care for either of us. We encourage you to schedule a visit - now might be the perfect time to move into Covenant Living of Golden Valley! Tim and Linda Anderson
