Beautiful senior living place. It has 6 towers and some town homes. One of them is an assisted living facility. Loved the landscaping and the lake in front of the main entrance. There is a nice eating place, library and piano place. There are some private rooms for people to talk more privately. The only downside is that it is full of just elderly people and they miss out on interactions with kids and other younger adults.

I am an Occupational Therapist and have visited many facilities/communities through the years. This one is top notch and we are happy that my mother was able to move in 6 years ago. We are now transitioning from Independent Care to Johnson Subacute Rehab, and soon Grantham Assisted Living. The care teams in all 3 areas know what they are doing, are open to suggestions, and are helping make each move run seamlessly. The new assisted living wings are gorgeous, as is the newly decorated Centrum in Independent Living. They are happy for family to get involved. I highly recommend.
My dad and stepmother moved to Catered Living and then my dad needed long-term care. The Catered Living apartment was large (2 beds, 2 baths) and renovated beautifully. My dad was at Johnson for about two years due to his needs, and we realized how important all levels of care are. I became friendly with staff and caregivers during my visits and found them to be dedicated and kind. It can be overwhelming to take over care for a parent. I found partners at Windsor Park.
Our parents moved to Windsor Park at the end of October. The process from start to finish was above and beyond all of our expectations. Our parents also moved out of their home of 44 years and were grateful to have the love and support of WP and family during this challenging transition. Kim Hamburg at WP was especially instrumental in this process and showed our parents (and us!) grace, kindness, patience, and love. She was responsive and resourceful with all of our questions. She has also become our friend. Since their move, WP continues to be readily available helping our parents. It is clear that it is a community and staff full of Jesus, unconditional love, and care. It is an answer to our prayers and we are grateful.
This facility has excellent staff and resources, and best of all, there is love and genuine concern in the culture of this place. My mother watched Windsor Place be constructed years ago, and had peers who took some of the first jobs that opened. Many years later, Mom became a resident in independent living when the need arose. I encourage those who are researching (Covenant) Windsor Park to give it serious consideration for its good business practices, family and resident education and mutual support and resident centered priorities.
