Do not work or bring your family here!! The company and the majority of its hires, do not care about your loved ones and in fact, cultivate and encourage this blasé, uncaring culture. They just see the residents as a source of income rather than people and treat them accordingly. They've had a string of high employee and staffing turnover with the most recent staffer that worked here being overworked, had constant call-ins without punishment, rude and downright disrespectful employee interactions, and no support from the ED or formal training under Copperfield's system to sustainably do her job! After sending an email to request solutions, they inexplicably let her go seemingly in retaliation! This review itself is not an attempt to retaliate but, instead is meant to serve as truthful insight from someone that has been there behind closed doors and has seen how it operates. If you bring your loved one to Copperfield Hill Senior Living, you'll get copper level service rather than gold like your loved one deserves.

Copperfield Hill has exceptional management staff! Like most senior homes staffing is an ongoing challenge--there are amazing staff members and a few less than amazing. BUT--with such high caliber management you can be assured that issues will be addressed and the general trend is always of improvement. They earn their high score honestly and consistently every day! Most of the staff is kind and thoughtful in in every situation. This is a place I trust.
Copperfield is not a good place for your loved one suffering from dementia. What they offer is a service that will warehouse people in a locked confined space. Your loved one will have no access fresh air and sunlight unless you come and take them outside. The menu is subpar - hotdogs and soup. No or minimal programs to support socialization and quality of life. Limited staff to care for your loved one. Some staff don’t even understand how to care and support loved ones with Dementia. My loved one got worse when living at there. Trust me, do not put your loved one in this place. I moved my loved one to a better place and she is thriving now.
My mother lived at Copperfield Hill for 5 years. I want to thank the Copperfield team for their care and attention during mom's time there. Special shout out to Olivia and Mary. Your responsiveness, capability, and willingness to address issues made a big difference. Thanks so much for taking care of mom over the past 5 years!!!
Do not put your loved one in Copperfield. My mother spent over two years in Copperfield Hill’s memory care unit. It ended several weeks ago when another resident assaulted my mom, pushing her down in the lunch room breaking her hip. Sadly, my mom died two weeks later as a result of the injuries she received at Copperfield. Copperfield stated that no employees were present in the lunchroom at the time of the assault, that is entirely believable since they seem to be chronically understaffed. On my many visits we found that the staff prefer to spend time talking in a work room while leaving the residents unattended. Over my mom’s two plus years at Copperfield, we had many issues. Cleanliness is not a priority there. I was left to clean my mothers room on most of my visit’s. When we first visited Copperfield, they promised to bath my mother twice a week. That never happened. I would have to hound the staff to bathe her even once a week, at times I finally had to bathe her myself. To be fair not all of the staff have been poor, there have been some caring concerned in my mom’s time at Copperfield. The problem is that they do not stay for long, leaving you with a staff that does not seem to care and with limited English-speaking skills, making it even more difficult to carry on basic communication. My mother spent her final two weeks in very nice facility, with a caring staff. What a contrast to the care given at Copperfield. We now have to live with the knowledge that we could have moved her to a much nicer facility if we had only known. I urge you to not make the same mistake that we did and check around before trusting your loved one to the care of Copperfield Hill memory care.
