Place is very clean and friendly. Mt grandmother has been there for almost three weeks. We have had no problems so far. Only concern is my grandmother said they are not showering her, only using bathing wipes, and she is able to sit up in a shower chair. This will be addressed. Other than that I have had no complaints so far. This establishment is pretty good in my opinion
The worst place I’ve ever been in my life. Most of The nurses are as nasty as you get. Their nursing manager is very rude and she sets a tone for her nurses to basically do and say whatever they want.we complain nothing happened. They left my mother in the bed for over a half an hour to 45 minutes sometimes an hour when she needed to go to the bathroom so instead of fixing that they stuck a diaper on her, gave her a wound. Emily should definitely not be a nurse. She is not a people person and she is nobody that should be taking care of somebody’s lived one. once they found out that my mother was calling us on the phone and we were listening and timing how long it took for the nurse to get in there. They broke her phone.. we had one problem in the beginning, and we were promised by the administrators everything would be taken care of. We were promised they had a staff at night with more than enough people, emily told me that is a lie, I wouldn’t put a rat from my neighbor’s basement in this place.
At first I thought this was a nice place for my friend that was recently transferred here from the hospital. But then my friend stopped answering the phone. Which is not like him. I called the nurse's station and they said it's due to me not delivering his meds. Well... I'm about 40 minutes away from the rehab and wasn't able to drive to where his meds were. As I recently threw my back out. The rehab should have set his meds up from the time they knew he was coming so he's not without them. The nurse's turned my friend against me and now I'm heartbroken. As I'm the only person he had that's local enough to visit him.Shame on you for not being professional. Very rude to say the least. Now I don't know if he's improving or declining. He also has a sore on his bum from leaving him in diapers all day. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
My mother-in-law is in the Arbors sub-acute facility. She was brought in on a Wednesday no one acknowledged she was there. The head nurse said she would call in 1-2 days, we never received a call. According to the administration she “fell through the cracks” as per the conversation they had with my husband when he was finally able to get a hold of someone in the Administrative portion of the facility the following Monday. Which meant, no PT no OT, no idea of the meal menu and how anything worked, nothing! My MIL asked why her protein “shot” and breathing treatments were not consistent, only one person would give them to her. The head nurse said that everyone signed that she got everything “because so-and-so would not sign if they did not give it to her” Guess what she did not get what the nurses were signing for. In fact when we finally had a meeting with everyone (PT/head nurse, Dr., etc.) a week later, she was told that the breathing treatment was based on her request. She never requested it because she did not know she could, but each nurse signed saying she got it and the protein “shot” EVERYDAY, which did NOT happen. The food is horrible, we have to bring her dinner every night, since the food is not edible and does not even look good. We now just get pictures of the food with “I can’t eat this” so we know we need to bring food. We thought we had the meal issues corrected. They finally took an order for dinner at 4pm, at 5pm when it showed up it was wrong. They corrected it, but it was not edible. The transportation person is not very nice, I’ve had the medical assistants at my MIL doctors, say they she was not even nice to them. She was transferred on a Wednesday and by Saturday we were already looking to transfer her. Luckily we are able to transfer her, since the meeting with everyone to go over her plan of care at the Arbors occurred the following Thursday, so she is already 9 days into an admittance that Medicare only covers 20 days at a 100%. I have heard the staff tell my MIL that there is no communication and today when I tried to get her help I was pushed off to multiple people until someone finally help as she was telling me “this isn’t my area” and my favorite that I and my MIL heard from a few people today “I’m just going to walkout today” or “I’m just going to quit today”. They are a happy group, LOL. This place needs a lot of help, but it seems that the Administration is ultimately at faulty for completely missing a patient and lack of communication. I have jokingly asked my husband, are they charging Medicare for the days they did not even know she was there? Specially since with the lack of OT/PT for 6 days, she ‘s not getting any stronger and which does not help with her discharge date. I would NOT recommend this place and am not sure how it’s a top rated site when given a list from Community Medical. UPDATED 01NOV2024: The head of the facility called my husband last night to talk about the post, but did not call me. My husband explained that what I posted has been brought up and talked about but the facility head did not really want to deal with the issues, he seemed to be more concerned with the bad review. So, the facility has been contacted to express our issues/concerns/etc. Thank you
