I went there for an interview and they were all so amazing and kind. Even the residents greeted me and talked to me for a bit. Such a welcoming place!!
My mother recently moved here. The other residents have been very friendly, introducing themselves and talking at length about how happy they are to live here. The food is good. They have activities, planned outings, and the staff is very nice. So far she really likes it here.
Safe, clean, affordable living for the elderly. Very kind, warm, welcoming and competent staff. The only suggestion I have is for every single senior place in America: I wish there were more intellectual activities, such as art, science, and political lectures, and book clubs, and less bingo. But again, this isn't specific to CH; it's my general suggestion for every place.
Since Hawthorn has taken over Colonial Harbor within the last year, the community has cleaned up in many ways. First the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly to all of the residents here. The management and maintenance team has greatly improved. Our new Activities coordinator brings her joyful personality to all her planning’s in the community as well as the outings. Management handled the COVID-19 pandemic professionally and as per CDC guidelines. The staff and residents worked together to help keep everyone’s moral up and stay connected with each other. With the addition of our new executive chef meals have improved greatly. I’m looking forward to the upcoming renovations in months to come. I’ve lived here for 5 years and think of everyone here as family.
