My mom has been here twice now and she is currently on hospice. She was happy to be back because of the staff. They greeted her like an old friend and immediately started to care for her. No one is perfect and there are a lot of other places I would never send her to! If you have any concerns you take it up with the director of nurses. He is working diligently to make every persons stay comfortable. Every place is not going to be absolutely perfect. You always have the option to take them home. The staff are very caring and they try their best to make each patient feel comfortable. Of course it is old! It’s been around for generations. You need to spend as much time with your family member as possible. You’ll find the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Before you realize it, they become your friends.

I went to visit a dear friend today. It seems that they are understaffED or should I say overstAFFED with UNPROFESSIONAL staff, Except for the reception employee. Bed sheets are dirty, patients are ignored, rooms are overbooked. Sores are not cleaned. Patients are not being changed from their dirty diapers. There is No Compassion, no care, no love shown in their treatment. Patients look scared and worried. One patient approached me to ask me to change her diaper, when I explained I don’t work there, she kept insisting. I told a nurse but she just nodded her head ok and left. I wish there is a supervisor who can go and see.
If I could leave a lower number, I would. The facility itself is okay, pretty dated with the only thing that made it stand out, it's beauty parlor, being closed and repurposed as the break room for the staff. The nurses here are pretty incompetent except for a small hand full, and I mean enough to count on half a hand. The food here is something else, I wouldn't feed it to my worst enemy. It's either cold and dry or their portions are table spoon big. Barely enough for a sample bite. Also, if you have an appointment, you better quadruple check if they have your paperwork. We spent a half hour past our pick-up time waiting for anybody to have our packet for the driver. In my opinion, send your loved ones here if you hate them
Our father recently completed his physical rehabilitation stay at Clara Baldwin Stocker Convalescent Hospital, and we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the exceptional personal care and extreme compassion he received. From the moment he arrived, it was evident that the entire staff puts the “i” in kind, going above and beyond to ensure his comfort and well-being. The nurses, therapists, and aides displayed an unparalleled level of professionalism and genuine concern, treating our father with the utmost respect and dignity. They took the time to understand his unique needs and tailored his care plan accordingly, always keeping us informed and involved in his progress. Their dedication was not just a job; it was a heartfelt commitment to his recovery. Every interaction, from daily routines to therapy sessions, was infused with warmth and kindness. The staff's positive attitude and encouragement were instrumental in boosting his morale and aiding his recovery. They made a challenging time more bearable and even uplifting, providing not just medical care but emotional support as well. We cannot thank Clara Baldwin Stocker Convalescent Hospital enough for their outstanding service. They have set a gold standard in healthcare with their exceptional personal care and extreme compassion. Our family highly recommends this facility to anyone in need of rehabilitation services. They truly make a difference in the lives of their patients and their families.
My husband was assigned to Clara Baldwin Stocker Home for short-term rehabilitation (10-12 days) after breaking his hip on May 16, 2024. Words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation that we feel for the care that he was given. The director, Teddy, Dr. Dehkordi, every RN, LVN, medical assistant, the receptionists, physical therapists and the housekeepers were professional yet so kind and compassionate towards my husband. Not only was Dr. Dehkordi attentive to my husband’s broken hip issues, but also his pre-existing liver disease. She came in every day and checked him thoroughly for both conditions. I was with my husband every day from 10 am - 7:00 pm so observed the daily routine of the staff. This facility needs to be commended for its excellent care, and compassion showed to each patient. Thank you for blessing us abundantly and for making such a difference in the lives of so many.
