I went on a tour at Church of Christ for my mother. Debbie and the team went above and beyond even for the tour and you can tell everyone on sight cared for the citizens there and knew all of them. The facility was very clean and well maintained. Only have positive things to say about the admin staff and facility. The room I toured in memory care had a nice bedroom and a living area separated by a half wall which is night to have that division but not full division. My circumstances changed at the last moment but def in the future when I will be in need again for the best care for my mother I know where to go.
BEWARE!!! Do not put a family member in this place!! My father was on the Memory care floor, all they could tell us was that they were understaffed. When you pay over $6,000 a month, that's not what you want to hear. My father fell once and laid there until my sister came to visit and found him on the floor. "UNDERSTAFFED". They basically put the patients in a corral, as I call it. It's a room they wheel them into to watch tv. That way they can have one person watch everyone. After an employee told us that she wouldn't put any family member of hers in here, we made the decision to move our father. After we moved him to get him better care, they have refused to reimburse my father for the 2 weeks he was not there. They said we needed to give 30 days' notice; we didn't feel it was in his best interest health wise for him to stay there. Please be advised this is not the place for your loved one, it seems that they only want your money. They are great at making the sale but not delivering after, WAY UNDERSTAFFED and food is reheated frozen food at best.
When my mom needed a sudden and unexpected placement it was difficult to know where she would be taken care of. Very glad we decided to place her here. The staff has been a tremendous help in making a bumpy transition as easy as possible. The care is warm and personable.
I would recommend Church of Christ Assisted Living to family and friends who are in need of a place for their loved ones. Their care and caring were excellent. My mom resided there for a little over a year and she was always treated with kindness and caring. Every staff member who entered her room spoke to her with respect and genuine affection. Thank you all for everything you did for her, I always knew she was in good cape-able hands.
