I was a primary house parent here along with my husband. There is definitely a genuine care for the children there. It always seemed like the staff cares more deeply for the children than the caseworkers. Every staff I worked with truly wanted the best for each child. Great place to love and care for children. Negative side though is the company itself does not care about your family. Staff’s own children never appeared to be important at all to company even when it involved safety, just the safety of the foster children. The company also does not care if their is a close death in your family you just have to work around it. Primary clocks 65 hours a week but at times you are working more than that and you do not get much time off. My husband and I sacrificed a lot while living here and while there were many many great things that came out of it, if you don’t have Jesus you will not survive. Would also recommend not taking this job as newlyweds as this really stretched our marriage. Again the Lord used everything we walked through but it was TOUGH. I did enjoy the duties of the job though and it’s so fun cooking meals for kids!

Attended Christ’s Home for Children from 8th grade to 9th grade in 1994-1995. Praying for sweet cereal and praying for Christmas gifts are experiences I will never forget. It truly feels like a family. The routine and chores made me a better person and today I can truly appreciate the work and love the staff puts in. The biggest impact in my life is that Christ was at the center of everything. Witnessing miracles was truly life changing experience. Taking care of my own kids is hard, taking care of others is even harder. Thank you Christ’s Home for providing me with a better future. I couldn’t have made it today with out Christ’s Home tender care. Thank you!
