Each time I visit your Christian Health facility I'm always greeted with smiles and pleasant attitudes at the front desk. I know my uncle is in good hands and he's well taken care of. Moreover, the staff are pleasant are always paying attention to their task. Keep up the great work you are doing.
Was pleasantly greeted by all staff of all levels from medical to maintenance. My mother was happy to be there and the care and attention she was getting. That speaks more than anything I can say!
Well, what can I say. This will be about the outpatient rehab center. This is supposedly one of the “good” facilities and that may be the case but there are a few bad apples that will literally inflict elder abuse. We had one aid Robin who jeered and mocked my mother. Told her if she wanted proper care to HIRE an aid. She was reported. But who came into my mother’s room a few days later after being reported , Robin. I told the front desk absolutely not. So Robin came in with a giant chip on her shoulder to tend to the roommate. Another aid left my mother in a bad laying position claiming she would be right back. Hours went by and she had her coat on to leave. When my mother said I thought you’d help me the aid jeered and laughed at her with another attitude. All you hear in this place are the elderly yelling for help and no one comes. Some aids are fantastic and caring but the ones who aren’t, watch for your loved ones. We had a supervisor Jennifer tell my mother she would put her in a cold room alone if she didn’t stop asking for help. This is a REHAB. My mother was thrown into bed and largely neglected. The nurses are great and some aids are as well but to report someone and then have them reenter the room a few days later is disgusting. It’s a testament to elderly care in this country. Atrocious. Edited to say, one reviewer said their parent got a bath once a week. Well, my mother was there for FIVE and received NO baths.
I was not happy with the nurse today I asked her for my mom’s pain medicine and she tried to dismiss me stating that she gave her Tylenol, well my mom doesn’t have a headache she had spinal cord surgery give her the pain medicine she’s requesting. However I really like her nurse May she’s caring and attentive and pays attention to her patients needs the nurse today was dismissive. The PT staff are wonderful and they encourage my mom to continue her therapy and remind her to rest. They encourage her when she’s walking the halls.
