My uncle is a resident at Chelsea Gardens and so far my whole family is happy and satisfied with the level of service and care my uncle receives at this location. The staff is amazing and professional, the food and comfort my uncle gets is great, the place always looks clean and organized. Choosing this place has been a wise decision. We recently had moved our mother to Chelsea Gardens from rehab and they welcomed her with loving care. During her stay with them we watched her become more sociable with other residents and became very close to her caregivers. She knew all their names, which tickled us as her children, because half the time she couldn’t remember ours! Unfortunately, with us living so far away we had to move mom closer to us , which meant taking her out of Chelsea and away from her family there. She did Not take the move well and won’t stop asking to go back. We will do everything in our power to make her happy, even if it’s further for us, for her to be back with the caregivers who loved and took such good care of her at Chelsea Gardens. Thank you Sandra and all of your wonderful Nurses who have helped us through these difficult times. The Gilmore family
I’m a volunteer who visit Chelsea once a week to share the Bible with those who may be interested. The staff is amazing. Ms. Spikes shows so much care and concern for the patients. Her love for them and for what she does in caring for them is easily recognized. Donna is another hard worker at the facility. She is very personable and friendly. She is very familiar with all of the patients. Ms. Thelma is consistently on the job. She welcomes us and those who come in with a warm smile. As a matter of fact the whole staff is constantly working hard for the patients. This includes the nurses, the physical therapy staff, the cleaning staff and all who care the patients. I look forward to visiting the facility weekly.
Conclusion: Chelsea Gardens staff are Effective at what they do. Nursing, Rehab & Support staff are knowledgeable, skilled, friendly, and focused. If the, need arises we would use their services again. Note: Chelsea rehab service is also available to outpatients. **Special Recognition: Nurse- Tanya & Dr. Zock. Thank God and you for successful psych med revisions. It is a very difficult process. **Background: After spending 1 month in a hospital, our 60 yr old mentally challenged extended family member was released to Chelsea Gardens for physical rehab and to refine psych meds and dosages. **Results: Within 3 weeks the following were achieved: 1) Psych meds were fine-tuned to ensure patient enjoyed a life with minimal anxiety/depression and is able to function and enjoy home life. A smile replaced anxiety. We wonder how many other individuals struggling with anxiety, etc., would benefit from a thorough med review. 2) Intravenous antibiotic treatment was completed. 3) Physical & Occupational therapy staff were able to strengthen patient and enable sitting, assist in transfer from bed to wheelchair, dressing, etc. Chelsea Gardens Overview: 1) I personally tested all meals and found most to taste & smell good. 2) Staff were continually cleaning and vacuuming rooms & hallways. 3) An inviting common area is available for patients to congregate if they are up to it.
The dietary staff is always friendly and attentive, making sure residents feel comfortable and cared for during mealtimes. They are very accommodating to individual preferences, offering alternative options or adjustments to meals when requested. They are quick to adjust to any dietary changes needed due to a resident's health status. They work hard to keep everything clean and tidy during every shift.
