After visiting many facilities in Snohomish County, with our mom helping decide, we chose Chateau Pacific. She was a resident there for 16 months. This Assisted Living/MemoryCare facility has such a warm welcoming environment. It is clean, has good food and a variety of activities from weekly happy hour to bingo, Spa Day and celebrations for holidays. The staff members are friendly, kind, compassionate and make every effort to get to know each resident and their needs. They work hard to include families as much as each would like to participate. No place is perfect as families face the challenges of aging, however the staff here always listened and were willing to work with us to provide the best options for our mom. We are fortunate to have found Chateau Pacific and appreciate everyone there. It felt like home for mom and an extended family for all of us.

The process of getting my a parent into assisted living was long and stressful, but after 2 months since moving my father in, the staff at Chateau Pacific have exceeded all expectations and made my experience and my father’s so much better than I thought it could be when it came time. Our criteria to choose an assisted living facility was a place that was clean and spacious, with friendly staff and good care, with very good food, and most important (to him) — affordable. We scouted dozens of facilities online and picked the best 5 or 6 facilities between Edmonds, Shoreline, and Lynnwood. Some were pretty good and very, very expensive. Some were not up to the standard of where you’d want to see your parent in their golden years. After visiting Chateau I thought that they would be at the upper end of the price spectrum. The facility is beautiful, the menu is great and the food looks like it came from a great restaurant, the apartment had vaulted ceilings was very spacious with a full kitchen. We were initially greeted by Pam on our first visit, and then worked with Taylar. Each visit, we were greeted warmly by whomever was present at the door. Each phone call or email was answered promptly, and they have continued to respond promptly to every call, email, or text message. When we needed some flexibility, they were easygoing in helping provide solutions. When we finally got down to the nitty gritty to get a realistic monthly cost estimate, it was FAR less than we anticipated, and considerably less than the other assisted living facilities. What I’ve come to see is that Chateau Pacific is more than just an assisted living facility. It’s a wonderful community of professionals and residents that provide an affordable place for folks who need a little extra help as they enter the last phase of their life. Recently, I sent a text message to the community liaison, and when she called me back and we had a warm and comprehensive conversation about my father’s progress at Chateau. She told me about a number of conversations they’d had, about how she’s trying to invite him and engage him in community activities, about his likes and dislikes, and at the end of the conversation I was left feeling like they are really getting to know him and that he is in very good hands. I could tell that they are doing their best to help him make the most of his experience there. On the first day of arrival, we asked about the dinner menu and they described a delicious sounding salmon with wild rice, which sounded delightful and healthy but which my father wasn’t interested in eating. He replied that the only fish he likes is fish and chips, and without missing a beat, De (at the door / reception) said, “we can do fish and chips! Should we bring it to your room?”. Upon hearing this, he lit up and agreed and was delighted when they brought fish and chips to his door about 15 minutes later. He’s a hard person to please with food, and between the wonderful (healthy) regular dinner menu and the base menu, he has found the food to be delicious and one of the things he likes the best about Chateau. I know now from experience that the process of convincing an aging parent to consider assisted living is difficult, as is the process of actually evaluating assisted living facilities and finding one that is a good fit. I’m not one to write such a long-winded review, but every potential resident of Chateau Pacific should know that they are not like other assisted living facilities. A few months ago I moved out of state away from my father and I was worried sick before moving him in, knowing I would be too far away to help him if he was unhappy. Instead, when I call him he is cheerful and peaceful and happy, which I haven’t heard in his voice in several years. For these reasons, and without reservation, I would recommend any person to consider Chateau Pacific for assisted living. They will be in very good hands.
I couldn't be more proud to work for Chateau Retirement and am in awe of the Chateau Pacific community for it's dedicated long-tenured staff and exceptional quality of life for residents. It is a gorgeous community for independent or assisted care living and memory care.
My parents lived at Chateau Pacific. The facility was warm and welcoming and showed genuine care for my parents. The facilities were clean and provided all that they were hoping for.
