The community is clean, beautifully maintained, and has a warm, homelike atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. What truly stood out to me was how attentive and respectful the team was toward the residents they genuinely care. Charter was our first tour of many, and Janel made us feel so comfortable, safe, and welcome. She was able to provide answers to all of our questions, eased our concerns and even provided answers to questions we had no idea we needed to ask. She provided us with such a good impression that even after all our tours around the area we felt confident and comfortable allowing Charter to welcome our parents into their loving care. Janel was even able to help us with temporary furnishings while we moved our parents in from NC. Janel and the Charter family welcomed us with open arms and continue to provide exceptional care to all residents. I feel very happy and confident knowing my parents are being helped during this stage of life. Thank you Janel and Charter!
I cant say enough good things about Charter Senior Living. Janel , the sales director, took her time , asking questions about my mom- getting to know her both personally and medically. Janel gave us a tour and answered all our questions. She worked with our family during a challenging time. I can tell she has a true passion for the families she serves. We had the opportunity to meet the various team members on the tour and found them all warm and engaging. I knew immediately this was the place for my mom .
After touring several Assisted Living Residences in the area, my sister and I decided to go with Charter Senior Living of Fredericksburg for a couple of good reasons. Location was one, and Janel was the second. From the moment we made contact with Janel, via phone, she stepped in to help. We were in a situation where we had to act quickly to secure a place for our stepmom first, then our father. Janel provided us with around the clock care from emails to texts and phone calls. She worked 7 days a week with us to help answer every single question we had, and we had a LOT! She even took the time to answer questions and speak with family members who were out of state. Thanks, Janel, for helping us every step of the way and still providing the 5 star level of service, today.
I had the pleasure to interview for the Director of Dining Services position. When I walked into the building I was greeted by a very nice lady at the front desk. After I told her I was there for an interview, she very nicely asked if I wanted a drink and would let Kate, the director, know that I was there. I was early, but only had to wait a short time. Even though I was nervous during the interview ( I'm use to giving them instead) I thought it went well. Kate went over a wide variety of questions and scenarios with me in a very professional manner. During my time there I saw several interactions the staff had with the residents and felt they were patient and positive with them. I do hope I get a call back, I think it would be a wonderful place to work at.
