Just wanted to take a moment to thank the assisted living in Keensburg CO. I moved my 98 year old grandmother there almost a year ago. It was a very hard decision to make to take her out of her home but I am so very thankful she is there. It is 30 minutes from Bennett CO. The facility is small and is like a home. Quiet country atmosphere, very clean and well maintained, home cooked meals, holidays celebrated and lots of activities. She was allowed to take her own bedroom set so she would feel comfortable there. There is also a Catholic Church across the street which was an important part of my decision. The staff is so kind. The price is very reasonable and they now accept Medicaid. My grandma has 24 hour care there and hospice services. Just within a month of being there I saw such a difference in her. She has gained weight, started eating again, Is back on her daily medications routinely, interacting with staff and finally has a smile on her face.
