I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the PT And OT teams. They are sincere, hard working and try their best amidst the staff shortage. They tried to make me as independent as possible and I have noticed they do that to every patient whether they are willing or not. During my stay, the assistant director Emil moved the therapy gym in 300 unit to a much bigger, well lighted room which brightened everybody’s mood. If they can hire a few more of the same dedicated team members, this will be an exemplary physical therapy place.

Level of care depends on who is there. Poor communication, leaving messages, waiting, no response, leave more messages. If someone can't be there every day don't leave your loved one here. Too short staffed. They leave a screaming woman in Visiting Room so you and residents can't enjoy visiting. Complained, said she has right to be here. No one visiting her. At last, my dear mother's tiny diamond ring she wore for 73 yrs that she wanted on her finger was stolen. 2 days before she died her religious medal that gave her comfort, was also stolen. Police report filed. So sad.
This place is so disorganized and short of staff. He needs to go to Jefferson every week and the transportation days and times are always messed up. He's suppose to have PT every day. That's not happening either. Right now he's been waiting hours for someone to come change the sheets on the bed. He does a lot of waiting for things. They are short of aids one nurse can't do everything. Weekends are absolutely the worst.
Nurses & techs were knowledgeable & helpful. They explained things to us before they did them. The Director and Asst. Director of Nurses also seem to care about the residents a lot. I'm looking forward to the PTs working with my husband so he can get his mobility back!
The nurses were mostly great, however the food was incredibly bad. Was either uncooked or old. Nothing even remotely fresh. Make sure you send your loved one with food to eat.
