I came here from rehab at Nazareth Center to a respite program and then signed up to stay. I have found the staff here to be friendly and very accommodating. The food is good and I understand the difficulty of cooking for a large number of people with diverse diets and tastes. I also understand that, as we age, our patience diminishes. But the staff takes it all in stride. I am well satisfied with the overall experience.

Cedarhurst has a lot of fun activities. We go to the Blues games, casinos, movies. My daughter says I have more of a social life than she does. I truly do enjoy living here.
Came in there after delivering a door dash there and explained to receptionist that I used to work there and inquired abt a friend of my mom’s who lives there. She was extremely rude and didn’t want to put her fork down or pen to talk to someone.
My tour guide, Matthew was exceptional. He always had a smile on, was so knowledgeable on so many subjects, gave a great tour of the property, knew every resident by their first name, and always had something to say to the resident. He invited me to stay for lunch and I was very impressed with the quality of the food.I was also impressed with the all the updated furnishings, the large number of activities listed each day on the calendar, and all the residents seemed to be really happy there. I am not ready to make the move at this time, but Cedarhurst will be my first choice when the time comes. Thank you for a great tour, and for lunch. You have a great employee in Mathew.
If family isn't able to be there when their loved one gets their medication, then high chances they they will be given another residents medication...this happened 3 times that I know of when I was there visiting my mom. if I had not been there, my mom would have taken a medication prescribed for someone else. I'm pretty sure she was given this medication at times I was not there. my mom was there for 1 month as a short term stay solely for medication management while I was on vacation, I'm her caregiver. In the 1st 2 wks of her being there, they could jot get her medication straight. I brought up some of her meds because they didn't even order it and they still didn't give it to her because the medication aides didn't even know I brought it, according to the computer system it was still pending prescription. After my vacation which was just a week, I visited her often and she was given other residents meds which I took before my mom had put them in her mouth. That is NOT ok. I had talked to the nursing director a couple times about past medication issues. They never got her meds straight. I had a meeting with the executive director Tom and once again the nursing director Deana about how disappointed I was with the lack of care my mom got. I have called the executive direct Tom 3 days ago & left a message, still waiting for his call back. I'm only 5 mins away so I will probably just pop in there. They are short staffed on dining servers too. The servers they DO have are not very nice. on a few occasions they never brought my mom a meal to the table so she eventually went back to her room, then I brought her meal. My mom went in as a level4 care which I was told someone would check in on her 5-10 times a day as she would also need help in the restroom...no one ever came in. We pay based on the level of care..basically my mom paid a lot of money for me to drive over & take care of her! That is not ok! They were supposed to give me a feeling of peace that she was taken care of while I was gone, that didn't happen. I had gone to Hawaii which the time zone is 5 hrs behind Missouri, I had to get up twice at 3:30a to call & once again get my moms medication straight...which didn't happen. This was my 1st experience with an assisted living home...this experience has stripped any confidence or trust of any facility. My mom is going to need assisted living & I'm pretty scared now. Again, if you can be involved in your loved ones care, which you shouldn't have to be, then Cedarhurst Tesson Heights may not be for you...not trustworthy! They make it sound great...the place is beautiful but the nursing care is just not there. The caring attitude is not there either. I agree, Matt And Jen are great tour guides & very helpful...too bad the care staff lacks in every other way.
