This company does not train its employees and then fires them for not knowing protocols they never taught. Not only that, but they will also steal hundreds of dollars worth of tools from the maintenance guy and ignore multiple attempts to get his tools he purchased before working here back from them. Corruption at its finest! They’ll steal from you and turn a blind eye, would not recommend sending your loved ones here. If they’ll steal from him, they’ll steal from your loved ones too!

My mom recently moved to the Waterford and she absolutely loves it! Her apartment is spacious, the food is wonderful and most of all the staff is warm, friendly and very helpful. She especially enjoys all the social activities that are available for her. When my husband and I first looked at Waterford for an option, we didn't have to look any further! In fact, we asked if we could move in also! We are so happy that mom is enjoying herself and making friends. We have the comfort of knowing that she is in a safe and friendly place that feels like our new extended family.
I visited my mother’s friend. They have been friends for the past 83 years. They are both very out going, social, and happy go lucky people. I Have had experience with a couple of Assisted living facilities in Florida and one in Michigan. I have seen all levels of care. While we were visiting, we enjoyed a very nice lunch. The food was better quality than most people have at home. The servers were all so nice and extremely friendly towards my mother’s friend and nice to us. Mom’s friend shared with us all the activities and programs she is in. They even put on plays! When I needed to ask the front desk for some information, they were very accommodating. The place was clean, felt like a northern style home, warm and cozy. The apartments were HUGE in comparison to my friends place in Florida and for a portion of the price. My mother said, if she is to move into an assisted living place, this is where she would like to live. I have to agree, this is where I would feel confident, when the time comes, placing mother in good hands.
Cedarhurst, formerly Waterford, is by far the best independent and assisted living community. We moved my Mom and Stepfather in just before the COVID pandemic hit full force. So glad we did! Their apartment is wonderful with a small kitchenette, two bedrooms, two baths, and no kidding closet space! Unheard of in this arena. Tons of options and flexibility with eating meals. The nursing staff and other support staff genuinely care, and will communicate with the family on any and all matters. I looked at many many places and none of them touched what Cedarhurst offers!
Our Mom absolutely loved the Waterford at Edison Lakes. From the moment she walked into the lobby, Mom felt welcomed and compassionately cared for. Laura Boyle and her team at Waterford made the move for Mom as easy as possible - providing outstanding options for moving support and finding just the right apartment to fit Mom's needs. Mom told us, "When I walked into the apartment, it just felt like home!" She was greeted on her first day by the Welcoming Committee who helped introduce her to others and helped her to quickly develop friendships and become a part of the warm community there. Mom was an amazing cook and particular about where she dined - she really liked the food at the Waterford and the all-day availability of meals. She also enjoyed bingo and the many social activities and staff at the Waterford. Her days were filed with good conversation and enjoyable activities - such a wonderful transition away from the loneliness she had previously experienced living alone. We looked at a number of facilities in the South Bend-Mishawaka area for Mom, and found the Waterford offered the best, full-service, compassionate care for its residents. I highly recommends the Waterford for anyone looking for a warm, caring, safe facility for their loved one.
