Hats off to D6 (from manager Ashley to all the aides, Housekeeping, Dietary, Activities Department, Volunteers, Finance Office, Admissions, Security Officers (especially Christian) and all others I have met there. They have been taking care of my mother for a few months only. Since tranferred from the dump she was in, she has been clean, healthy, she has started talking, singing, dancing. They keep me up to date on everything they do. Every change, doctor/ specialist/ other staff visit, or anything, I get a call. I now know why this place was nominated as one of the top nursing homes in the nation for 2024. They took care of my mother's mother too. Same perfect care given. Having almost 40 years in the medical/healthcare system, I can be the most critical person, but also understand the reality of the working conditions (especially when short handed). I have not seen anything that would even indicate they are shorthanded (even when they are). Everyone is so happy! I always see activities going on.

My mother spent 3 weeks at Cedarbrook before she passed. I was blown away by the care and compassion we received. Every person I dealt with was awesome, too many to name but here goes: Gretta, Katie, Maria, Brook, Jaime, Mouna there were more...bottom line is the communication was fantastic and I never met people that cared so much. Thank you all.
The entire team at Cedarbrook has proven to be truly exceptional. To give some context, following a devastating family tragedy that left my brother incapacitated, my mother has been grappling with profound grief. The move to Cedarbrook, although initially challenging, turned out to be a source of immense comfort. From the very first day, the staff welcomed us warmly, staying by our side and addressing every question without hesitation. They went above and beyond to console my mother and provide reassurance that her son was in capable hands. Over the last 6 months, the care provided to my brother has truly exceeded all expectations. My mom is extremely particular about how my brother is cared for, and the staff has gone the extra mile to ensure that they meet her specific preferences. Beyond providing care, the staff treats my brother with profound respect and dignity—an aspect that is often overlooked by others given his circumstances. The staff's compassion and dedication have been a source of solace for our family during this difficult time. Above all, my mother can now find peace at night, reassured by the fact that her son is receiving exceptional care from a team that genuinely cares for him. We are truly grateful for the wonderful care and the outstanding professionalism demonstrated by the Cedarbrook team, it has truly touched our hearts and words alone cannot express the depth of our gratitude.
You never know what tomorrow will bring and change your life. One morning our loved one could not get out of bed. That led to a week in the hospital, failed rehab and an urgent need for skilled care. We were challenged to quickly find a good home with well-trained professionals who would sincerely care for her day and night. Fortunately, we found Cedarbrook-Allentown. It was number one on a hospital list that showed this county-owned home with the highest rating from Medicare. It is frequently inspected, very clean, has modern equipment and medical specialists on site. Food selections are nutritious and there are planned activities every day. In this year 2024, Cedarbrook is ranked, with data from Statista, Inc., as one of the best nursing homes in America. Our loved one has now been a resident here for a year. We are glad she lives in a very friendly culture with dedicated workers who have become her friends. And she is safe, with security guards on duty 24 hours per day. We see the staff and administrators every day, working hard to satisfy the needs of each one of the several hundred residents with severe limitations. These caregivers truly earn the Cedarbrook reputation as a "Community with Heart".
I was a little nervous at first but WOW let me tell you - I am so happy that my mom is where she is at. You have pretty much the same staff daily/nightly and weekends where they get to know your loved one. They make sure she is up and out of bed daily for meals and has made so much progress for just the month she has been there. NOTHING but PRAISE for the care staff on C3 (14). You get greeted by name so right off the bat you know they take great pride knowing the families. (this includes security/maintenance/etc. GREAT JOB.
