If there was a negative star, that is what I would share. In a place such as these, you look for care, kindness, compassion…. Your loved ones are in their care at a most crucial time in their lives. We had maybe 2 people out of the entire facility that cared and shared that compassion for humanity and decency. Other than them we have never been so disappointed, sad, and defeated. And Christmas was fast approaching! We are still dealing with the repercussion of their so called care 6 months later. Literally 6 months and the wound care we have to provide is severe. My father just lost half his toe and foot and that’s just the beginning. All the antibiotics and wound care couldn’t fix the disgrace of this facility! I would not want my worst enemy to have to go here. I’ve never written a review, good or bad, but everyone should know what they may be walking into with their loved ones!

My mother, Lorraine, was discharged from Cedar View in Methuen today. She had a sprained ankle from a minor fall and she was in rehab for just under 3 weeks. This is the first time (in a long time) that I actually had no worries about her being in rehab. My mother was very well taken care of by everyone on the staff! From the moment you walk into the door, you are warmly welcomed with a smile. We are impressed by how accommodating, friendly, and professional everyone is at Cedar View. The nurses and aides are wonderful and are very attentive and quick to get to their patients . My mom never had to wait for anything. The rehab facility and PT staff are exceptional. Also, my mom raved about the food each and every day. We have never experienced such a well organized discharge. When I arrived at noon time to pick up my mother, her meds and care instructions were all packaged up ahead of time. We were out the door and in the car in less than 10 minutes. My mother and I would like to thank everyone at Cedar View for being the best around! We highly recommend Cedar View to anybody who is in need of rehab.
Facility is good and clean, staff is nice once you get to know them. A downside is that it's very noisy from staff in the hallways and other patients' blaring TVs, so I had to shut my mother's door to get some peace for her. Not crazy about the idea that she had to share her bathroom with three other people. Physical therapy helped my mother a lot and I think she'll do fine going forward.
My Aunt stayed at Cedar View after a shoulder surgery, because she lives alone. What an amazing experience she had. She ended up best friends with her roommate Dot, having the company during her stay was so nice. Their rehab gym even has a car in it! I came in to visit her one afternoon and she let me know she had gotten in and out of the car today, she said the car didn't have an oh S**t handle, but they taught her the right way to get in and out of the car (the right way after shoulder surgery), before her follow-up appointment the next day. All and all it was a great experience!
Cedar View is a nice place, very clean, well maintained and welcoming. The staff are friendly, professional and always willing to help. I truly appreciate all they are doing to support my aunt and ensure she gets home safely. Thanks for all you do!
