My mom was at Cedar Hills almost two years. The staff were amazing, communicated so well with us and were very proactive in her care. From nurses who would give me weekly updates on her wound care to staff who would hear in the hall that she would like more ice cream and then bring it, we knew mom was well cared for. Whenever we visited, mom was clean and warm with booties on her feet. When the staff saw that she needed more care they referred us to palliative care and then hospice, both programs administered at Cedar Hills so that she didn’t have to move. Cedar Hills has been a good location for my dad who is recovering from a number of serious ailments. The caring staff have been accommodating to his needs. The level of doctor, nursing, wound care and physical therapy, has been very good and appropriate for his needs. Dad mentions the variety and tastiness of the lunch meals and enjoys his morning cup of coffee. Cedar Hills is a SNF where my dad is well cared for and treated with respect. My dad has a good sense of humor and the staff understand laughter is good medicine.
Cedar Hills Center has short stay rehab, where residents can enjoy large private rooms. They offer Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. The facility also offers long term care placement for your loved ones, they have doctors that are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and facility has all in house staff, that take pride in caring for the residents.
Cedar Hills is an amazing facility to work in. Residents are treated as family and are celebrated, daily! The care all departments give the residents will put your mind at ease knowing your loved one will only receive the absolute best from staff. A special shout out to the phenomenal therapy department and the dedication they give!
To be honest if you have a loved one going into rehab you do not want them to go here! They discharged my brother saying his Medicaid stopped paying! That was a complete lie! They discharged him due to his family going almost everyday asking them to do their job. If we waited 2 days-we would go in and have 2 days of a peed on bed or peed in floor. It took them over 2 weeks to give him a shower. I can go on and on! DO NOT SEND ANYONE HERE!
