My mom and stepfather moved in almost a year ago and they have found it to be a very positive experience. They food is very good so I was surprised at some of the older reviews. There has obviously been improvement. The variety is excellent and they have enjoyed every meal but one so far! They like going to the gym and then going to the casual cafe for lunch. They LOVE the high school kids that work in the restaurants! All three clubhouses have been recently renovated. The decor is completely up to date and beautiful! The gathering areas look like beautiful hotel lobbies and the restaurants look like ones on “the outside.” They look forward to using the new gym in their clubhouse that was also just renovated. They have easily made friends and enjoy dining with a variety of people throughout the week. They joined a bocce ball team and a few exercise classes. My stepfather has Parkinson’s and there is a special exercise class for the needs of those with Parkinson’s. I like that the hallways are well heated so it’s comfortable to walk around and be in the common areas.

Cedar Crest has been wonderful for my dad. He loves his apartment, and the residents and staff have a very warm and welcoming culture. The restaurants and bars are lively and high quality and everyone treats him so well. Best of all is my dad's companion aide, who is a remarkably kind, talented and frankly brilliant person who takes care of everything he needs to live independently despite a serious disability, and brightens up his life in so many ways. I live far away and I sleep so much better now that she is in our lives, just as well as if he was in the care of a trusted family member. It's also great knowing medical services are available on-site, and they've been terrific as well. Thank you Cedar Crest!
Don't be fooled by the Erickson/Cedar Crest Disneyland tour the salespeople give you. This place is a money making machine, and it's the last place you want your loved ones to end up. Especially, the understaffed, overpriced nursing home.
All the ammenities need without ever having to leave the facility! I love the gated entrance, only allowing those enter if they know someone or if they are doing business here
Cedar Crest will keep you as active as you want! Not everyone can participate in an Aerobics group, but those who do,love it for the fun and laughs we have, the new friends we make and the joy of entertaining the other residents here. Our truly carefree living gives us many opportunities to do the things we couldn't do if we had stayed in our old homes. This new home, where we have gourmet meals, clubs and activities galore and don't even have to change a light bulb is ideal. Quiet times in your own apartment, the library or the chapel will calm your mind and soul as well. Come visit and join us for the best time of your second life! Joann West, a 12 yr resident at Cedar Crest!
