We moved my mother to Carriage House in August of 2023 from another facility we were having issues with. I must say I am pleasantly surprised with the care she is receiving there. The staff is very communicative and obviously cares about the residents. She is in the memory care unit which can't be an easy job for the staff but they are equal to the task. Evan in particular is a standout there. He is always engaged with the residents and it's really inspiring to see the way he interacts with them.
The Carriage House is a wonderful place. Staff is very friendly and educational. I had the pleasure meeting Lisa Anderson The executive Director and she reassure me that the Carriage House is the place I would want my love one to live.
Making the decision to move our Mother to a memory care facility was really hard for our family, however the staff at the Carriage House has been exceptionally helpful and compassionate!!! Tressa and Blondie in particular have absolutely been a God send!!! The care and understanding all the staff have shown Mother is remarkable and heartwarming. We could not have found a better home for our Mother. Thank you all for being there for the entire family each step of this journey!!!
Took tour with sales lady & everything she said was not delivered , forgot to tell us they had no help! My mom moved there 7-11-22 & it was holy hell for me, & my mom , everything they said would be done . She had no baths & she was promised 3 baths per week, bed changed never, chef made meals( their meals were sent in ). I had to hire someone to come in for baths & make sure she had her meals, the other times I was there. They never had any activities the person had quit. Told me they would put her next to someone to talk to, the woman stayed in recliner asleep & could not talk. My mom went into the ER 8-24-22 for severe dehydration & some afib the doctor found. He even ask if her medicines were given correctly. They have no 24/7 on call the hospital could not get her medicines to start her on until the next day. My mom stayed in hospital for a week then to rehab, couldn’t walk & she could when she went into Carriage House. She took Covid & back to hospital then she came to my house then passed away September 26, 2022. I really can’t explain how bad Carriage House was, you really have to be there ‘to see all this. They had fired the director, head nurse & no help on floor. The day my mom went to the hospital, I went in that day & the medicine cart was in front of her door unattended which that is definitely no-no. My mom’s charts on top of cart none of her morning meds were marked as given. I then proceeded to find the aide & she was on the other side of the hall talking on the phone. Would you want your love one in a facility that was doing this to your love one! My mom had just had her six month checkup with her primary care doctor & she was fine & then died September 26th! Please don’t take your love one there. I’m an only child my mom was my best friend & I still have night mares over the things that went on at Carriage House. How can she be in good health from her check up, go in CH 7/11/22 & pass away September 26, 2022. I wish you could see pictures I have of her & the day she came home to die. I still can’t do this justice writing this you would have had to be there to encounter all the things that went on!
