The loving caring staff supported her, helped her and me through the most difficult days with true compassion, patience, and kindness. They loved her and her precious kitty Cleo every single day. Our mother Sherry called the Carlton Senior Living Pleasant Hill/Martinez her home for three years. She lived in a community of her peers with a variety of experiences and wonderful life stories to share. Multiple activities for every interest in a lovely setting was a pleasure for her new stage of life. The team at The Carlton is superlative, from Care Partners, general staff to management the caring concern went beyond a job. This team, under Jon, truly wants each day to be smooth and wonderful. Onsite festivals, holiday celebrations, cooked to order meals, walking access to Safeway and small cafe's were truly appreciated. Thank you Carlton team and the Residents who make living here delightful.
The Carlton Pleasant Hill/Martinez has been an absolute blessing for our family. The staff is incredibly friendly, caring, and genuinely attentive—they take such good care of my mom, and it gives us so much peace of mind. Every time we visit, we’re met with warmth and professionalism. Most of all my mom is in a good mood and feel comfortable. The facilities are beautifully maintained, clean, and welcoming. It truly feels like a home, not an institution. Highly recommend!
My mom has lived here for a year and a half and we love the Carlton. It is extremely clean and a lovely place to be. What sets this place apart is the people....wonderful and caring staff. They know each individual resident and care for them where they are. Lots of activities and great food. I am grateful for this wonderful home for my mom.
My father moved into the Carlton Senior Living Pleasant Hill-Martinez community in March, 2025 after YEARS of resistance. From the move-in process to now, the experience has been terrific. Amy Tet and her team, and Sandie the director of resident services, were extraordinarily responsive and made the move-in process as easy as possible during a really challenging time for our family. They worked with my brother and me through uncertain move-in timelines, shifting needs, and even different time zones. Once he was there, the care staff has made him very comfortable, and we noticed a definite positive change in my father, with an increase in cognition and mood. He talks very positively of the staff and care he's getting, often wanting to find ways to thank Gina and Brenda, the two care givers working with him the most. My brother and I have had only positive interactions with staff, particularly Ruth the resident liaison, Kristine, the evening coordinator, Cookie the activities coordinator, and Maricela the medications manager. In general, we're thrilled with how much our father's quality of life and well-being has improved in the three months since he's been at Carlton. The peace of mind knowing he's in such a safe, caring community is a major benefit to our mental health!
