My sister was admitted to CareOne at Lowell when she was 31 years old due to a traumatic brain injury from a car accident. Staff members that no longer work for Care One like Kelly Bemis and current staff -Napoleon Battle, Nessreen Aidelbi and Maria Quintero just to name a few were great contributors to my sister's progress and I'm thankful for their assistance. Nessreen has assisted me with full compassion and dedication in whatever questions and needs I had during my sister's stay and even after her discharge. If she could not assist she would direct me to whomever could and do it all in a timely manner. I live miles away from the facility and she has always given me a piece of mind of knowing my sister was safe and well. God help that facility if they ever lose her. However, the wonderful staff has no control over the terrible staff and the disgusting building, due to these reasons my rating is low. The building looks old and run down, while the staff such as the Director of Nursing and the Director of Social Work do a poor job of showing compassion and dedication to the patients. After COVID things around CareOne has gotten worse and their only excuse is they are short staffed which is not a good excuse to a family member that is concerned about a loved one. If I knew then what I know now Careone would not have been an option for my sister, not only because of some of the horrible staff and the building's physical appearance but also because of my sister's age. She was and is very young so alot of her needs were not met.

Reeks of urine. The receptionist won’t even acknowledge your presence. These patients deserve better care. Stop employing subpar employees. My friend is a resident, our lives have been impacted. Devastated. The least we all can have is people who enjoy your jobs and lives and genuinely care. Careone * should not be it’s name
I'm deeply impressed with the staff at CareOne, especially Neurobehavior Program Director Nessreen Aidelbi and her assistant Napoleon Battle. Due to their dedication and diligence, Saint Michael Parish has been able to develop a deep relationship with the residents, who actively help weekly with church cleaning and chores. What is beneficial to us is extremely important to the residents, as their work provides them purpose, responsibility and productivity. Saint Michael's is proud to call CareOne staff and residents a key part of our community. Pauline A Minch Development Director Saint Michael Parish Lowell, MA
The team at CareOne has been caring and works well with me (family and health care proxy) in regards to my weekly visits and on external Specialist Dr appointments to ensure my family member is doing the best he can do to improve or be comfortable and happy. This includes me working with the Nurses , staff and clinicians to ensure he visits neurologist, cardiologist and other specialty drs. The dental, ear, feet and PT and OT general is done daily with nurse/LPn etc oversight at CareOne. He feels cared for and they are reassuring. The facility is always clean and staff is nice to myself and patients. Sometimes they are firm but I have never seen any inappropriate actions and they are very careful with memory patients. A The only con I have seen is when staffing is decreased, such as the awesome administrator who scheduled HC Medicaid transport or staff, you can feel a bit of stress and have to do an extra check to be sure all is in order on DR appointments. The place is very clean and activity director always looking to entertain and improve social activities on the first floor. Navigating the Medicaid, Medicare and SS you should see outside help. Thanks to the care givers from the receptionists to laundry to elevators nursing and administrators in Lowell. Regardless where your loved one goes, you need to visit and be involved to the best of the family and friend abilities!
Terrible, it's like a 1950's Mental Asylum! I was sent here 3 months ago and they're slowly killing me. Ask a nurse or CNA for help or a question and they walk away from you! Abusive, Neglectful staff! Terrible DR., N.P. they don't listen and spend 2 minutes with patients and walk away hence no health problems get attention. I've been trying to get a diet for over a month or "proper prior medications I've been on for 43 years for over 3 months now. We'll call the hospital that sent you here and your first nursing home to make sure you really were on those 3 controlled substances and put you back on them but they're too lazy they haven't made 2 phone calls for 3 months now and it's driving me nuts, adding to a heart condition and blood clots and my GI system is not working correctly and it's shutting down my kidneys now ! Don't send a loved one here! I'm the only resident here out of approximately 120 that doesn't have a TBI but they treat me like I do or like I'm insane! Very overall Abusive and Neglectful! (Yes there's some caring, loving workers but not many). Warning ⚠️ PS: Because of overall neglect I'll be losing close to $12,000 because admins & billing department won't call Social Security to release my own money to me that's 100% mine because the laziness of making a phone call is too bothersome to SSA! 😞
