The Care at Home, LLC agency has provided stellar care and support to my Dad as well as to my family as we all work to ensure that he is able to remain safely supported in his home. Navigating the Senior Care industry can be challenging and the Care at Home staff have worked side by side with us to help provide all that is needed to support my Dad to safely remain in his home. The Administrative staff are caring and responsive. They take the time to build strong relationships with their clients, visiting often and regularly communicating with family to manage any issues that may arise. They have 24 hour support and have always been available to help when needed. The provision of Senior care requires great flexibility and agility on the part of the company providing the service. My Dad has required different levels of support and care over the past few months and the Care at Home staff have helped us every step of the way. They went from providing daily in-home care, to supporting him in his rehab setting as he recovered from surgery, then to facilitating his transition back to his home including assisting us in securing the medical equipment he would now require. By far, their strongest asset, are the absolutely amazing, skilled, nurturing, patient caregivers that work for Care at Home. All of the caregivers we have worked with through Care at Home have been excellent. Of late, we have been truly blessed to have two amazing women providing highly skilled, loving care, and companionship to my Dad. My fiercely independent Dad struggled with the concept of needing others to support him in his 90’s and could be a bit “thorny” when care is offered, however they have won him over. He enjoys their company immensely and appreciates that they respect his need to perform has many of his activities as independently as possible. As the “adult child’ responsible for overseeing my Dad’s care, I cannot say enough about the support I have received from all who I have come in contact with through Care at Home. They readily offer emotional support, resources, education and often….levity and humor, which is often required when supporting a loved one with dementia.

I’m updating my review because this agency has failing me and not getting the right match for me because they don’t stay long and they don’t listen and then when you do get someone they don’t wanna stay. I feel like I’m one that’s falling through the cracks of this company and for a Veteran that’s not very good. They are not punctual and arrive late. Care at Home really did a great job in matching me up with the right person to help me out. I would definitely recommend this agency to anyone. They go above and beyond in trying to please the person receiving services. I am definitely happy because at least my needs are being met. Thank you Care at Home.
Care at Home has provided excellent care to both my mother-in-law, and her sister. They are reliable about having someone there, and all the care givers have done a good job. Both Mary and Vivian have kept that house clean, provided good healthy meals, and personal care. They have truly cared about my family members.
Care at Home has been providing EXCEPTIONAL 24-Hour Live-In Care services to our mom for the past 9 months. Prior to our relationship with Care at Home, we had worked with two other agencies over the course of 15 months. Through that experience we learned a lot and grew wiser. We interviewed five “new” agencies (after having already worked with two) and ultimately Care at Home WON us over for the following reasons: 1) When I initially called, I was put through to Suzanne (the founder) with whom I was able to ask all my questions. I wasn’t asking questions to a salesperson or generic administrator, but rather the person whose passion led to the formation of the company. 2) Care at Home pays their Live-In Caregivers 13 hours/day! Huh? You may ask, wouldn’t they pay 24 hours? As a benefit of room/board, Live-In caregivers receive 8 “unpaid” sleeping hours, 3 “unpaid” hours for meals and 13 hours PAID work hours! Other agencies pay ONLY 9 hours working hours/day (leaving caregivers with 7 “break hours” a day). This was a real problem for us with other agencies as the caregivers were constantly “on break.” When talking with Suzanne and inquiring about caregiver breaks, she genuinely asked, “I don’t understand your question…when our caregivers are ON, they’re ON.” The proof is in the pudding…..my mother’s Care at Home caregivers have been ON and ON and ON! NEVER have they left the house for a “break” or gone to their bedroom for great lengths of time for their “break”…when our mom is awake THEY are ON! I can NOT underscore this point enough! Your loved one DESERVES to be cared for and the caregivers DESERVE to be paid a just wage. Care at Home is UNIQUE to be paying their Live-In caregivers for 13 hours. This recognition makes their employees feel both valued and appreciated….which results in a happier employee and a more joyful caregiver. 3) The Care Coordinator (KATE!) was BOTH the intake person (coming to the house and interviewing mom) and the Caregiver Coordinator (the person who knew the caregivers best) so when it came time to pair mom with a caregiver….KATE had knowledge of BOTH the client AND the caregiver. Other agencies have separate teams of people for those jobs. Having the SAME person was greatly reassuring since Kate knows Mom (and us kids) AND the caregivers and all the various personalities and idiosyncrasies involved. Kate has done an AMAZING job in choosing INCREDIBLE caregivers (Carla! Nancy! Marie T!) for our mom. 4) The Family Room Portal makes billing so easy! The invoices and care notes are together in ONE location and on ONE PDF, making submission of this documentation to Long-term care insurance companies so easy. 5) The Caregivers – we once asked the social worker at a skilled facility, before bringing our mother home, which agency (she had handed us 5 flyers) she recommended. She shrugged and said, “The agency is only as good as the caregiver.” Without reservation, I can attest that the caregivers from Care at Home, that have lived with our mom, have been THE BEST! Her current caregiver, Nancy (who has been with mom for 6 months), was even celebrated and recognized as the March 2024 Caregiver of the Month. There are little words to describe the peace of mind experienced by a family when there is a such a trusted, compassionate, capable and loving companion for your loved one. If you are currently exploring options for you loved one, we can say, without reservation, that CARE AT HOME has been the best agency, we've worked with, by FAR!!!!!!!! We took our time to write a review to make sure the agency "stood the test of time" and they unequivocally have!!!!!!!! Call them NOW! We promise you won't regret it.
There were some scheduling hiccups at the beginning but once we got B as our aide (I am not using her full name) it was wonderful! Our elder was reluctant to have anyone come to the house but after her first visit, I told him that she would come on Monday and he said "Great". It has been such a relief to have someone with him 4 days a week. And most importantly, he is happy with the arrangement.
