The assisted living of Canterfield is wonderful but do not send a loved one to memory care , the care is subpar , there are a few caring nurses but the majority are on their phones most of the time .
Canterfield of Kennesaw is not only a beautiful, welcoming facility but I have NEVER seen any care takers and employees with a more positive attitude. I've been to many nursing homes, senior living and assisted living places but everyone there seems genuinely happy to be there which makes a HUGE different to those living there and their families. My father was at another place before and he couldn't wait to leave and we hated visiting there because it was dark, unfriendly, etc. At Canterfield, it's a pleasure to have my dad there and happy and take my kids and puppy to visit. Everyone is SO NICE from the front desk, care staff and dining room employees! I simply can't say enough.
If i could give this facility 0 stars i would. The staff are lazy and negligent to the residents that live there. Physically abusive towards individuals who live here and from the times I’ve been it seems like the staff take their life frustrations out on these innocent elders. They don't care for human life only for the paycheck they receive. There has been multiple incidents of elder abuse within the facility just in the past 3 months. The staff are too busy standing around on their phones, messing around outside or with each other to care for mine and your loved ones. The medical technicians are rude and talk down on the residents who live there. For as much as you pay it's best you choose somewhere that will tell you upfront and with honesty that your loved one will not be cared and loved for the way you would hope and wish while spending their last days here. Absolutely unacceptable. Seems like they just hire anyone and everyone who walks in. Our loved ones deserve better than this. A complete joke of a facility.
We are a home care company that provides care to some of Canterfield of Kennesaw’s residents. As the owner of this company, I highly recommend this beautiful community because of 3 reasons. First is the longevity of the leadership team. Where in other places there are always changes with the leadership team, this community’s main leadership team remain the same since the day it was open. This allows them to build deeper relationships with the residents and their families, and other staff members. Second is the location. It is strategically located within driving distance to Marietta, Kennesaw, Woodstock and Canton. Third is their commitment to provide the best care and services to help not only the residents, but also the residents family members.
