When the original owners ran Camellia Place, it was clear they genuinely cared about their work and the people they served—just what we hoped for when we moved our mother in. But after a new company took over, everything declined quickly. Staff turnover and quality of care suffered. Despite our repeated requests: • Black mold grew in her bathroom and was never remediated. • Her room went uncleaned, and her laundry was often ignored—she eventually had to wash clothes in the sink. • Once, she became severely dehydrated after skipping meals for an entire day because “they forgot.” If you have a family member with memory issues, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. We’re grateful we found a better facility, where she spent her final months being loved and cared for properly.

Camilla Place was the perfect fit for my father during the last months of his life. It was warm, inviting, and cozy. His room was comfortable and clean. He loved the food. The staff understood the challenges residents with Alzheimer’s face and treated him with kindness and grace. Everyone was very nice and genuinely cared about his well being.
Camellia Place is an amazing option for those needing Assisted Living and Memory Care services in the Woodstock and surrounding areas. The staff are amazing - especially Gency Roth- it's obvious that she LOVES what she does and is called to it. The facilities were clean and did not have that normal smell of an assisted living which I didn't know was even possible. I also really appreciated that there are sperate buildings of smaller groups of people - genius! If you are looking at assisted living for a loved one, I HIGHLY recommend Camellia Place!
This place was great under the original owners, but things went downhill after it was sold. The individual cottages is a better model than one big building. If you have a loved one that is still relatively with it and can mostly care for themselves, it might still be a decent fit. Our mother needed more attention, and she just didn't get it. We moved her out to a personal care home.
Worked dishwasher at this location. Ran like a money pumping scheme. Patients crying out to be helped when all I can do is help make the food and deliver it. Also I didn't get paid cuz I didn't make it a whole payment cycle. Heard it was thru paypal and untaxed so I just left.
