Dad had to move to an assisted living facility after his long stay in the hospital. He decided to be on hospice, and we found a place that worked with the hospice he chose. Dad was unhappy there, and my siblings and I were also unhappy with the poor care he received. We began a search for a place where he would be comfortable and feel safe, insisting Dad come with us to see what he thought since he is the person living there. We made an appointment to visit Cambridge Village. Sandy took us on a tour, and she explained everything. Her professionalism and, more importantly, her kindness impressed us very much. Jolene made a point to meet us while we were there, and she, too, made us feel welcome, and let us know Dad would be safe there Dad loved the attention he received. That was on a Tuesday. He moved in Friday of the same week. The staff had a greeting party waiting for him, which made him smile for hours. He has been there for two weeks now, and is very happy. The hospice that he uses followed him there, even though they had not worked together previously. They are now firmly ensconced, visiting Dad 3 or 4 times a week, having excellent rapport with CV and their administration. The h ospice nurse calls me every week, and today she told me she can see how happy Dad is since moving to CV.. Eating his meals in a dining room instead of in his bed, which he had to do at the other facility, is very important to him. The activities Cambridge Village has for the residents are varied and inclusive. Today the men's club had dinner in the activity room, enjoying burgers and beer while watching an old western show on TV. Dad said they could have as much beer as they wanted! He limits himself to one, but the fact that he could have more was exciting to him. Dad is thriving, getting stronger, and enjoying the community that comes naturally, all while getting the care he needs and making new acquaintances, who will eventually become friends. If you have a loved one who is in need of assisted living, I highly recommend Cambridge Village. The atmosphere, made up of the staff and residents, is caring and welcoming. We are so blessed that two dear friends recommend we tour the campus, and even more blessed that a private room was available the day we visited. It was meant to be. I have recommend CV to several of my friends with aging parents who need to live where there is 24 hour care. Honestly, I'd move in myself if I could.

I’ve been in and out of over a dozen personal care homes in the Greater Pittsburgh Region over the past 6 years. As an occupational therapist, I can truly say it is one of the cleanest places I have had the privilege of working in. The staff is wonderful. They help patients adhere to therapy requests, which inevitably fights ageism! Patients love it at CV!
I am a home health nurse that takes care of patients at this facility and others. This facility exceeds expectation of care for their patients. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The environment is clean and very welcoming. The continuity of care is very evident. Love taking care of patients at this facility. Management is excellent you can tell they really love what they do!
The staff at Cambridge Village is truly dedicated to providing compassionate and attentive care to their residents. They go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and supportive environment, treating each individual with kindness and respect. It’s clear that they are committed to the well-being of those they care for, and their professionalism and compassion are evident in everything they do!
Our mom went into Cambridge Village 18 months ago. We had been searching for a place for mom, for about 6 months. We took many , tours and talked to a lot of people before we talked to Sandy. She answered all our questions about our concerns, then we decided on C.V. And we have not been disappointed. The place is always clean. Kelly the activities director is great. There are many activities available everyday. Including spiritual, thay have different services depending on your preference. And residents are encouraged to participate. Even family is encouraged to join in if you wish. Staff is friendly and knows everyone by name. Always willing to help residents or family. I love that I can visit anytime. No set visiting hours. They always have more than one option at meal times. And staff is encouraging and will help to be sure they eat well. Family is also welcome to join at meals. In fact they have a special room for family to come and have a birthday party or just a get together. It's great if your card players. Recently mom had an issue and had to go to the hospital. She had to be sent to a rehab then to another hospital. I had to argue with all 3. But C.V. was awesome! They advocated for mom and us all the way. Jolene, Jessica, and Sandy even helped me on a Sunday ( thier day off) from home. I can't thank them enough. If you are looking for a place that feels like home, where they listen to your concerns and the staff feels like family, C.V. has filled all that for us. Thank you to: Kelly activities, Jolene and Jessica nurses,Sandy administration, Kayla care giver, and Samantha who answers all my questions. And everyone else who helps care for our mom(I'm not as good with names as they are). God bless all of you for all you do. Hugs!!
