I spent one night in this nasty, loud facility. Nurses are rude, and the food is awful. I heard a man fall cry out for help two nurses picked him up and put him back in bed. No ambulance! that was just a few hours after I arrived. They excepted me knowing that I was stage 4 cancer with a weak immune system but acted as if they didn't know. After exposing my pick-line to germs to find out they didn't have the proper supplies to put it back together. My sister witnessed an employee yell at a resident and push him down on the couch close to the nurses station. I was supposed to get OT, and PT. They disguised my admission for rehab but in my opinion they would love to turn a rehab patient into a resident. Don't choose this place it's a nightmare.

BEWARE!!! If I could give Cambridge Post Acute Care a 0 or Negative number on here I would. I am 53 years old who was discharged from the hospital to Cambridge post acute care. At first, all seemed well minus the stench of pee, but that was an illusion. As the night progressed the truth of this facility came to light. 1. They did not give me my required medication or oxygen. I was in severe pain and couldn’t breathe. When I complained of pain and threatened to leave the facility in the middle of the night, a nurse came with an unidentified pill in her hand, expecting me to just take it. 2. They did not give me any food for hours. When I complained of being hungry they brought me a styrofoam plate with a scoop of cold rice, 3 pieces of cold broccoli and some unidentifiable little pieces of meat and what looked like canned noodles that was not even heated up. I had a styrofoam cup with brown liquid that was spilled all over the plate. I couldn’t tell if the meat was chicken, tuna or cat food. Of course I didn’t eat it and complained of being hungry again. Staff gave me a toddler sized bag of graham crackers with about 5 little cookies in the bag. I asked for more cookies and was told I can only have 1. On top of that I was on a bedpan because I couldn’t walk. I pressed the nurse button and waited about 30 minutes before someone came and had to “find” a bed pan. I only used the bathroom twice the entire time I was there and had to take myself off of the bedpan because nobody came. When they finally came they tried to insist that I wear a pull up. The remote to the television was broken and after me having to ask multiple staff for a remote that works they finally located a working remote and gave it to me an hour later. In the morning when the day staff and administrators came I still hadn’t eaten or had any medicine or oxygen. I was finally brought a plate of food. A cold biscuit with something that was supposed to be a very cold omelette with a piece of unmelted cold cheese and a packet of jelly. I told the day staff what occurred and left in an uber against medical advice!! They acted surprised but I could see right through their bull shit. They had the nerve to tell me once I leave I can’t come back. As if I would ever want to return to that dreadful place! It was dirty and had an unpleasant odor. I would never send anyone I love or hate to this place! I wish I had photos but unfortunately my pain and suffering and dead phone battery did not allow me to take any at the time. Please beware when placing your loved ones in this facility!! Especially if they are non verbal or suffering from any type of dementia or Alzheimer’s issues who can’t advocate for themselves. I can damn near guarantee you that they won’t be taken well care of at this place. STAY AWAY!!! The powers that be needs to get this place shutdown for good!!
This facility needs to be closed. Do not take your loved one here. The entire staff is rude and acts like doing anything is such a chore. My wife's bedding needed changing and it took two hours for anyone to respond. When I mentioned this the staff wanted to argue this with me. No professionalism, No bedside manners, No kindness at all. This will be reported to the BBB. Apparently someone was not paying attention administering daily meds because my wife was found unresponsive, taken to the er with dangerously low blood sugar. She is better now . Everyone stay away from this place.
Because I have a family member in a nursing home, I expect to be an advocate for my mom and establish relationships with the staff and that's what I have done. Every place has there flaws and it's a matter of teamwork in which is what has been done (between the family and stsff). Yes I can complain about some things, but overall, the Nurse Practioner is on point regarding any issues with my mother's health, the RNs care and ensure she is good and the majority of the CNAs do what is required, and transportation is set up appropriately. If there is an issue I address it and if it does not get resolved at the junior level then it's addressed at the senior level. They keep you notified going on and I appreciate the repor with the staff. Unfortunately there is not 1:1 ratio CNA to patient, but the place does what it can to make sure my mom is comfortable in a place she didn't ask to be at that is now her home.
This place is not as bad as others make it out to be. Many of the patients rarely see family and friends, which is disheartening. The location is fairly close to our home, so there's always someone available to stop in to check on our family member on a regular basis. There are a few male patients that are mean-spirited to the female staff members. Instead of complaining to the staff about cups and paper left on the porch or lounge area, I decided to put on gloves and tidy up to allow the staff to tend to the patients. In closing, Grace is the absolute BEST nurse, and Amy is the nicest housekeeper. They're so pleasant and sweet to almost everyone. If they'll allow, I'm considering volunteering at this location, because they definitely could use the assistance. In closing, it would be great if they had an area in the lobby to allow for the patients to play board games, cards or to gather for Bible study.
