Our dad was a patient at Burcham Hills Rehabilitation for rehab after an infection and surgery last month. He was previously at another Rehab facility, but it wasn't great, so we transferred him to Burcham Hills. Burcham was AMAZING! The facility was clean! His room was spotless and his bathroom was cleaned frequently. The nursing staff and techs, and physical/occupational therapists were so kind and very caring. Their admin staff go above and beyond! We are so thankful they handled our dad's transfer. The have daily activities for their patients to participate in. We absolutely love Burcham Hills! We can not recommend them enough! If our dad ever needs physical therapy again we will definitely be sending him to Burcham!

My father in law was there for some time building his strength with physical therapy and speech therapy. The people were kind and I believed enjoyed working with my father in law. Unfortunately, I believe he was released to go home very prematurely. He got home and could not walk or maneuver with his walker, he struggled going potty and just did not have needed physical strength. Within a few days he had fallen and was back in emergency and another permanent rehabilitation facility where it has been shared he needs 24/7 care. Far different then what we were told at Burcham Hills. Very concerning the miscommunication and diagnosis.
You definitely don't want your family member to be placed at this facility. DON'T DO IT!!! My family member has been there 8 days and they continue to commit gross medical violations, in addition to multiple other neglectful acts by the staff & administration. Violation #1 - Left family member in urine & feces for 6+ hours in the bed Violation #2 - Left family member in urine & feces for 4+ hours in the bed Violation #3 - Sent family member to his appointment at Sparrow with NO pants on, no winter jacket and no hat on his head in winter weather/30 degrees. Violation #4 - multiple food service issues, including having an allergy item (kidney beans/legumes) served as part of his dinner. Act #5 - staff has not washed him up and cleaned his incision area since arrival at the facility
Burcham Hills is truly a wonderful company to work with. Their commitment to providing compassionate care is evident in everything they do, and it's clear that the residents are their top priority. Their dedication to fostering a sense of community and ensuring the highest quality of life for everyone involved is inspiring. It's been a pleasure to collaborate with such an amazing team who genuinely cares.
We partnered with Burcham Hills for a volunteer Day of Service with our organization. I cannot say enough good things about the staff who volunteered with us - they are all absolutely wonderful! All 9 of them were so full of joy and were excited to give back, even though the work was in construction, so not exactly clean or minimal effort tasks. Petra is a gem! She made the administrative work on my end so easy with her flexibility and consistent communication. And her assistant, Souci, is fantastic! This recent experience reminded me of how the staff was in the late 1980's when my great grandmother was a resident at Burcham Hills. Every member of their staff we worked with then were so caring and thoughtful. They truly made her end of life season much less difficult for our family, knowing that she was consistently in excellent hands. I cannot express enough gratitude for the gentleness and compassion they showed when she passed - it meant so much to an 8 year old girl whose great grandma was her best friend.
